Very efficient and well packed. The prices were also fair. The only minus point is regarding the delivery time. One day after this order, we bought some different products at a competitor (also German) and their products arrived 2 days earlier. We also used the same transport company. This wasn't that bad but comparing companies we would say that the competitor worked internally faster. Despite it, we strongly recommend bike-discount.de!!

I'm a long-time customer here, and ordered parts needed for a 2 month bike holiday. The parcel company lost the parcel and sent me a confirmation mail that they have for sure lost the parcel. I've contacted bike-discount 4 times now and they refuse to answer. I've made it clear that I need this parcel urgently (have been waiting for almost 3 weeks now). The only answer I get is: "we will come back to you via mail". Via mail they sent a standard message that the parcel company has not yet contacted them... Any other online shop I know would already have resent the package. Customer satisfaction is not very important. This will have been my last purchase here

bad costumer service

Sometimes, true relationships are revealed in difficult times. Here too I have ordered many times without too many problems. Delays and mistakes happen. But the last time was particularly frustrating. There are two errors in the same order and no acknowledgment. Deferent description on the website whit what I received. During the holidays, they want me to return the items to send the correct ones, which they don't even have available on their site. This means at least 1 month delay. To "German" Costumer policy. There's nothing to be sorry about.

No news from discount-bike

I bought the item 3 weeks ago. Since then, no news. Only my credit card has been charged. I had to write them to have a status of my order, it does not have been processed yet. I bought 2 other items from competition (overseas companies such has bike-discount.de ) and I received all my purchases in 4 days time frame). I am still waiting for an update from them. On the positive side, the prices are really good.

Poor customer service

I ordered €200 worth of bicycling equipment from Bike-Discount but never received the merchandise. They gave incorrect mail address to DHL. I called DHL but could not get through. I emailed Bike-Discount about the problem. It took them 4 days to respond. Meanwhile, DHL sent the package back. It has now been weeks and no refund. I emailed twice again. Silence.

Really poor service. Delayed dispatch, no indication of lengthy lead time at the point of ordering. Outsourced delivery company were extremely poor. I spent hours on the phone and days chasing the delivery. Eventually sent to a city 200 miles away in spite of a clear postcode and address on my invoice. Had to undertake a 400-mile round trip on a Friday night as a result.

Costly returns

I order some clothing, but it was too big for me, so I wanted to return it. However, the shipping costs for the return need to be born by me. The cost is about 30€, so it'll be way cheaper to go to a tailor and try to fix the garment. It's the first time I need to pay to return goods bought online

Unfortunately, we cannot cover the costs of returning goods from every country. If the complaint is justified, we will of course cover the costs for the return shipment. Unfortunately, we cannot cover the return costs from Spain for selection orders and similar transactions. We inform our customers transparently on our website about our return conditions and therefore ask for their understanding.

Last couple of of time I couldn't make a purchase had some strange errors and 6 times my money came back. Also on the 7 one also I had some weird issues. In general I am completely not happy with the experience of this website.

Great service but...

The service, prices and offer are awesome. Customer service is also great. This time I'm not giving 5 stars because of a return I had to pay for a wrong shoe number. It is true that it was my mistake. It also true that they do accept the return and refund without issues. The only thing I got mad at was the information about a free return if the item is more than 50€ which was the case. Well, it's not exactly like that! Why? Because they rely on a asterisk that says that it is free only for bunch of countries around Germany. Even if your order is above 4k they made me pay for the return, even after my new order for the right shoe number was also already paid. Bottom line is that, it's never a good practice relying on asterisks. The UX will for sure jot be good and you can loose a customer on that. So please put all the information clearly visible. Apart from this issue I love this store and I will continue to be their customer.

Attention to detail and good prices.

I like the attention to detail that bike-components.de have on their site. I'm rarely in doubt about what components I am buying and the specifications given are all verified and accurate. This is super important when building or upgrading due to the many sizes and standards out there. On this particular occasion I got a great deal on some Shimano XT brakes which I had been planning to buy for a while. This coupled with the free shipping offer for Orange Week was fantastic. My only negative with this company is the time between ordering and shipping. It does seem to be a consistent problem. When I use r2-bike or bike-discount, not only is the shipping cheaper but typically items dispatch next day. This isn't only during busy times such as Orange Week - I have noticed it consistently.

Order status and refunding issues

When everything is in stock the itemes are shipped very fast. BUt if something is missing you have no info about that in order status page. It would be nice to have status per item and also posibility to remove items from order if it takes too long to get them. Second thing is refunding if you cancel some items via email/phone. You get email with instructions to transfer money directly on bike-discount bank account. I did that. But then the next day you try to charge my credit card again. The information about refund/payment should be more clear and possibly without double chargin. Or just refund the amount for removed items. Kind regards Roman

Intra EU shipment from a UK order - success

I’m British, on holiday in Slovenia and had to do a quick order for a part to be delivered to a hotel which had no link to me. Bike Discount.de have a great website which is well stocked but the process from accepting the order to shipping it is not quick. I never got the promised email which the T&C’s say is sent so that i can confirm the order before shipping and when i tried to cancel it was too late. Ultimately the package arrived in time and with the correct product. Price is competitive but not the best. It’s a shame they don’t do large shipments to the UK anymore but we can thank those who voted for Brexit for that.

Bike-Discount is one of my go to website for bicycle parts. Prices are competitive and they have a wide selection. My only complaint is that they do not have multiple shipping options. They only shipping option to my location, Portugal Islands, takes 3 weeks to 1 month for delivery. For less than 4 euros for shipping it is fair delivery times. When I need something in a hurry I have to order from a competitor and pay 5x as much for shipping but they don’t always have what I need.

Good and practical website, lower than market average prices and lots more options than the local shops. There is also lower price guarantee so they match the lowest market price for a product. The only negative sites are the user interface of the website (bit outdated), longer delivery times and stricter constraints for item return & refund. There is a minimum price for an item to be returned and refunded free of charge.
