Long story short: Don’t waste your money, time and energy in this disappointing company.
Long story long: (I advise you to grab a cup of coffee before you start reading) I got to know them by an Instagram ad and had the terrible idea of purchasing a watch and other small things as a birthday gift.
I contacted them through Instagram DM and, couple of days after (I should have known by then), they replied saying that the strap that I wanted for my watch was not available (even though it showed available on the website) so that they would have to make a manual order with another strap. Ok, I said…
I also asked how long it would take to arrive: 10 days tops, 1 day with DHL express. I had almost 30 days, what could go wrong? Well, WoodWatch can always go wrong and get worst as I got to know a little too late…
I payed the order and, a couple of days after (you see, God is there but we don’t want to open our eyes, I could have cancelled the order…) I received an email stating that my order was on hold given that one element of my order was not available… they had one job…
So I contacted them asap since I didn’t want to risk that my order was coming late. This time through WhatsApp: no answer. I came back to Instagram, no answer. Email: no answer. I called and a gentile machine told me to contact them through they’re regular channels. There’s a joke…
A couple of days after they came back to me through WhatsApp with no idea of what I have agreed over Instagram. I had to repeat myself all over and asked them to send it by DHL not to risk it anymore.
Guess what? Not only they didn’t send it with DHL, but having more than 10 days the gift came after the birthday… It gets better!!! The f*cking watch came broken!!! I wish that I could as least say objectively that the quality of their products is good, but there you go.
Mad as hell, I wrote to them to ask for my money back and they said that they could do it but I had to return the product. Absolutely no care for all the time and energy that I have wasted already, nor would they cover the customs that I had payed as a compensation even when I had to return it!!! I mean, they are selling watches they shouldn’t be wasting other people’s’ time…
All in all: I’ll keep the broken watch because I decided to use the remaining time and energy that I have in giving this detailed review about the company. Not in having to file DHL forms, fight for my customs money with local authorities and wait God knows how long to get the money back.
Dear WoodWatch,
Your pathetic communication skills, regrettable customer care, non-existing customer recovery and shitty quality have given me more headaches in the last two months that the dictatorship in Venezuela gave me whilst I lived there.
So yes, by comparing WoodWatch with Chávez, I rest my case.
