I recently acquired both the green and blue editions of these exceptional wood watches, and they've surpassed all expectations. Long story short: Don’t waste your money, time and energy in this disappointing company. Long story long: (I advise you to grab a cup of coffee before you start reading) I got to know them by an Instagram ad and had the terrible idea of purchasing a watch and other small things as a birthday gift. I contacted them through Instagram DM and, couple of days after (I should have known by then), they replied saying that the strap that I wanted for my watch was not available (even though it showed available on the website) so that they would have to make a manual order with another strap. Ok, I said… I also asked how long it would take to arrive: 10 days tops, 1 day with DHL express. I had almost 30 days, what could go wrong? Well, WoodWatch can always go wrong and get worst as I got to know a little too late… I payed the order and, a couple of days after (you see, God is there but we don’t want to open our eyes, I could have cancelled the order…) I received an email stating that my order was on hold given that one element of my order was not available… they had one job… So I contacted them asap since I didn’t want to risk that my order was coming late. This time through WhatsApp: no answer. I came back to Instagram, no answer. Email: no answer. I called and a gentile machine told me to contact them through they’re regular channels. There’s a joke… A couple of days after they came back to me through WhatsApp with no idea of what I have agreed over Instagram. I had to repeat myself all over and asked them to send it by DHL not to risk it anymore. Guess what? Not only they didn’t send it with DHL, but having more than 10 days the gift came after the birthday… It gets better!!! The f*cking watch came broken!!! I wish that I could as least say objectively that the quality of their products is good, but there you go. Mad as hell, I wrote to them to ask for my money back and they said that they could do it but I had to return the product. Absolutely no care for all the time and energy that I have wasted already, nor would they cover the customs that I had payed as a compensation even when I had to return it!!! I mean, they are selling watches they shouldn’t be wasting other people’s’ time… All in all: I’ll keep the broken watch because I decided to use the remaining time and energy that I have in giving this detailed review about the company. Not in having to file DHL forms, fight for my customs money with local authorities and wait God knows how long to get the money back. Dear WoodWatch, Your pathetic communication skills, regrettable customer care, non-existing customer recovery and shitty quality have given me more headaches in the last two months that the dictatorship in Venezuela gave me whilst I lived there. So yes, by comparing WoodWatch with Chávez, I rest my case. And have a nice day if you reached the end of my catharsis :) (This doesn’t apply to WoodWatch employees reading reviews, unless you also hate your company and are thinking of suing them any time soon. In that case, have a nice day you too).

A lot of people are allergic to cactus leather

I purchased a watch with a cactus leather band and was very pleased with its appearance when I received it. After a few days of wearing it, I started getting small red bumps around the bottom and sides of my wrist. They grew into a big, itchy rash. The main part of the watch and face are lovely, but it's unwearable for me. After contacting the company, they are sending me a wooden band (I have to pay for shipping), so I hope that will allow me to wear it. If you look into cactus leather a bit online, you'll find reviews of other products where people have had allergic reactions, so proceed with caution.

Not happy about quality nor service

Bit of bad luck maybe, but not happy with the quality. The bracelet of the watch I bought opened by itself. It fell from my wrist, at home luckily. I had to wait long for a new part. Right after I could start wearing my watch, one of the shackles broke! Had to wait for over a week for new parts. Guess what: they sent me the wrong colour. They send without tracking code so you have no idea when they send it and where it is.

When I look through your case I indeed see that a lot of things have gone wrong/were not handled correctly, my apologies about that. I'm also sorry to hear that after everything that happened, the watch arrived defective, that is not something that is up to our standards. As explained to you before, it won't be possible to return your purchase amount if the watch is not returned to us before. Furthermore, we can't refund the customs costs, as we do not receive these costs and these are paid to your local customs office. When a watch is returned you can also contact the customs office about these costs. I understand that you have lost your trust in our company, but ofcourse we can still send you a free return label so you can return your item to us, once we have the proof of your shipment we can process the refund immediately. We can also send you extra parts so you can repair your watch or bring it to a watchmaker. Again, my apologies for all the inconvenience this has caused to you and I hope you have a nice day. - Nynke

Constructive criticism mandates praise when appropriate, and reproof if applicable. I have nothing but admiration for the unique concept of synthesizing a natural raw material, nature's genius, and man's inventiveness in terms of technology. Adding the personal, engraving on the watch and box adds to a distinctive product. However, as I have already expressed my pressing reservations in previous texts, it is in the areas of customer service and glaringly flawed communications that gravely tarnish the image of the company. In short online bot/chat, email, and WhatsApp is clumsy and unresponsive and seriously compromise the image of excellence which the company no doubt wishes to project. In my previous incarnation as a management consultant I was paid a hefty fee for such forthright analysis and insights and you get it for free!

Leider nicht empfehlenswert

Kundenservice hat mir bis jetzt nicht geantwortet ( es sind schon paar Wochen seit meine Bestellung vergangen). Ich hatte Probleme mit Zahlungsart, Paypal hat gar nicht funktioniert, Kundenservice antwortete nicht und ich habe dauerhaft Erinnerungsmails bekommen, dass ich bitte bezahlen soll. Am Ende habe ich selber eine Lösung gefunden. Uhr an sich ist schön, obwohl die Gravierung sehr klein ist und kaum lesbar. Ich empfehle es nicht weiter, habe mich da nicht gut aufgehoben gefühlt.

There is no free engraving as it showed in sealing advertisement. It should be clear in description of the product whatever it available or not. That was disappointing when I received my watch. It meant to be a birthday gift for my self
