Plants were healthy and delivered in just a few days . All good experience from start to finish . Great website ----- good info and timely updates on purchase. I have a 23 year old garden and am by the sea with a windy wet climate so gardening is a challenge . Never very cold but always quite wet . Hydrangeas and Berberis along with a handful of other shrubs and perennials survive nicely here so my garden has always brought me many compliments . My recent purchases from you will of course further enhance my garden.

Dead, rotten and unrecognisable plants sent!!! I have received my order and I have never seen anything like this before: dead, rotten, mouldy and unrecognisable plants. This must be some joke or I don’t even know what to call it. There is no way, you can plant them. I just want my money back and someone to collect that stuff, as I am not wasting more money to send those plants back. I already paid more than 120 euro.

Diseased plants received

I ordered 16 plants from Gardens4You.ie in July. 6 of the plants arrived with browning of the leaves which I naively put down to the 7 day delivery time. Since then the plants got progressively worse & died. I complained to Gardens4You.ie as the plants had obviously arrived with an invasive disease. Their customer service said they couldn't do anything about it. This is very poor customer service.

We've thoroughly reviewed the email you submitted this morning and were prepared to replace the items. Your satisfaction appeared evident, given your insistence on a replacement and the confirmation of your address—something surprising if our plants were diseased and of poor quality. Upon reviewing your photos, it became apparent that the plants were exposed to fertilizer and intense heat in the middle of July, and the use of fertilizer during this time (contrary to the recommended period from March to June) on the conifers rather than a disease. The soil is also dry and undrained - far from optimal conditions. Upon inspecting your order, we observed that it dates back to July 2023, and the two-month warranty has lapsed for over three months now. It's worth noting that our location in the Netherlands is not a secret, as our site's address and position are clearly stated on our pages. When you made a purchase on our site, you were aware that the plants originated from the Netherlands. This is evident in your careful tracking of the shipment sent on the evening of Tuesday, 04/07/2023, which arrived within the site's specified timeframe on Monday, 10/07/2023, with a delivery period of 4 working days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Additionally, you had a 48-hour window after receiving the products to report any issues with the 6 conifers. Furthermore, you had a 2-month period to reach out to us if you had any doubts. Your frustration towards us is solely based on the fact that you waited for five months before reaching out to our services, a delay that, understandably, has no correlation with the issue you are currently facing.

The plants that I ordered looked nothing like what website shows. Basically, recieved 2 stick with a few leaves. Very very disappointing!!! You need to show what the plants look like instead of the mature version. Will not be ordering from your company again.

Our website, like all other plant websites in Europe, always showcases a mature version of the product you are purchasing, whether it's perennial plants, shrubs, or trees. When you select a product, its description includes information about its size and the diameter of its pot. Our plants are nursery-grown, cultivated outdoors year-round. Between September and February, the plants go into senescence and cease active growth that's why we offer a longer shelf life for plants purchased between september and February with complete transparency for over 30 years.

We are based in Holland and have been shipping to 22 countries in Europe, including our customers in Ireland, for over 20 years. Northern Europe lives to the rhythm of the 4 seasons. If you buy nursery plants (cultivated outdoor all year around) at the end of the growing season, just before autumn arrives, it's normal that their growth won't start until next spring. This is why orders between September and October are guaranteed longer than the usual 2 months.

For an unknown reason your parcel shipped on 25/08/2023 and confirmed by us per mail with tracking information https://tracking.dpd.de/status/en_NL/parcel/05162158787269 is returned on 05/09/2023 (today) to our company without any explanation from dpd the transport company. You are leaving a negative review even though you know full well that this unfortunate and rare incident is beyond our company's control. We cannot put a tracking device on every parcel. We ship to a total of 22 countries, so if you don't let our customer service know that your parcel hasn't arrived on time, we can't guess...We prefer to tell you in all honesty. We still have standard camellias in stock (13 in total) if you decide to come back to us and confirm by e-mail your complete shipping address including Eircode we will be happy to send you a complete new order or refund the order of course.

Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry that the plant did not meet your expectations. We supply relatively young plants that have been grown outdoors, so they require little adjustment and will continue to grow quickly. If the plant does not develop as desired, you can always claim our guarantee,

We advertise plants cultivated outdoor all year along. We send the majority of our plants as naturally growing young plants. These young and robust plants will recover well after planting and sprout anew. Hosta roots are always sent dry so as not to develop disease or mildew they need to be soaked in water prior to plant them Pennisteum are ornamental grasses that turn to straw in autumn and winter. In late spring, the plant becomes an ornamental grass again, as we can see from your photos. The rosebush shows no signs of damage, just like the other items.

Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!

I bought 8 plants from this supplier and I am not impressed. For this money you can buy plants in local garden shops looking more mature and in better physical state. The shop gave me two months to see if they survive. Oven if they survive it will take a long time for them to grow up. For example, I bought Hosta for €6 which came sized about 8 cm tall and about 8 cm in width, for the same money I bought in B&Q the same Hosta sized 25cm in height and about 25 cm in width. A big difference. Lily was delivered nearly white colour and nearly dead. The rest of the plants are in nearly the same small sizes and in very poor conditions. This is a very misleading advertisements on their website. I do not advise anyone to buy their plants, you will be very disappointed.

Our plants are nursery plants grown outdoors, designed to grow in the garden and develop with the seasons. We don't sell florist or supermarket plants fed on fertilizers and grown under artificial light. Our plants, once in the ground, will grow for years to come. We have customers all over Europe who send us photos after several years of using our products. We offer a 2-month warranty on all our plants.

Rude, unprofessional, incompetent

Rude, unprofessional, and totally incompetent; the worst customer experience I've ever had - I emailed them to ask what was happening with my order, as they had sent a tracking link which didn't work. I received a blunt, garbled email informing me that my order had been dispatched to the wrong country. This was 6 days after I'd placed the order and the day before my mother's birthday. When I said I was disappointed, I received the rudest email I've ever had from a customer service team, which also didn't accept any accountability.

Your package was mistakenly directed to Germany by dpd the carrier which we regret. In the meantime you have been reimbursed and the package was later delivered to Ireland. Not great...you'll probably have to order 30% more than you need

I ordered circa 90 Stipa pony tails...they arrived promptly and I planted them within 48 hours. A couple weeks on and 25 have died. I've sent 2 emails to customer service asking if they can be replaced as explained on the website, but have not even received a reply. Beware to buyers that you may have to buy 30% + extra to account for plants that die...and don't expect their customer service to actually support or even engage with you.

Buy but no delivery or response from business..

I placed an order on the 10 April. Upon payment invoice stated I would receive order within four days. After four days elapsed and my order was not delivered , I sent an email enquiring when the order will be delivered. I got a response stating that a ticket has been issued to follow up someone would contact me shortly. I was also told to be patient and that gardens 4you were very busy, and sending emails would only delay issue being resolved. After two days I still had nobody contacting me. Now a week later and still no phone call email, or order delivery. What a shame if businesses treat paying customers as if they are actually more of an inconvenience and treat them in such a condescending way. I shall rather pay more and support local village nursery

You contacted our customer service department on the weekend when we were closed, sending multiple emails of frustration and saying things you must regret. We came back to you immediately informing you that the package was on its way but that you could still refuse it. The package was accepted the next day 18/04/2023 since you tried everywhere to make us wrong and to obtain the refund of this order via Trusted shops by pretending not to have received any answer from us, we will report you and provide Trusted shops with the evidence of our conversations by emails

Some plants arrived damaged, poor customer service

Some plants arrived damaged, plants were packed under pots! customer service dismissive. Won’t be going back. Please note if ordering from Ireland that the company is not Irish and your plants will be shipped from Holland in boxes. Soil was bone dry on most plants. The amount of cardboard used in the packaging was shameful also, enough to make a tree with.

The photos we received showed plants in much better condition than your email. As a reminder, these photos were seen by the quality control manager and our manager. We offered you a 20 % discount on these plants and 2 months warranty on these products. If you read some of the comments on this page, you'll see that a lot of customers say: "arrived in time with recycled packaging ...very pleasant".

Scam! This company have a 100% guarantee email, which they send after you order. It is a total scam. I complained about my plants arriving smashed and was completely ignored. They then cancelled the rest of my orders with no explanation or reason. When I enquired, they accused me of being aggressive. Terrible company.

Your previous order was from april 2022 the guarantee ended in October 2022 and this is the reason why the warranty was void. Our irises are dried rhizomes on a grid. A dry rhizome loses 80% of its volume. Just soak them before planting them in the sunniest part of the garden. The order from 15/04/2023 is guaranteed until the 24/06/2023 don't wait for the end of the warranty to contact us with pictures of these rhizomes if the plants failed to grow.
