-Sound:
The lows are full and rich, bass is strong without thumping or booming.
The highs could be a bit crisper, especially voices (in music) sound a bit muffled almost.
Mids seem to lack a bit too.
Volume: my 64 ohm Sennheiser doesn't play as loud as I want so I chose the 32 ohm version of the DT770 Pro for more volume (less resistance). And also because I want to be able to use it with my cell phone on a decent volume.
The DT770 Pro 32 ohm seems to offer a bit more volume but not a whole lot more. I had expected it to go louder than it does.
So an improvement just not a huge one.
-Comfort: fit on the head is good, I don't get the feeling the set wil slip off my (bald) head. The pressure on the ears/head is exactly right: not too loose not too tight.
The size of the earpads is where it all goes wrong. I am by no means Dumbo the flying elephant but the earpads on the DT770 Pro are way too small for my ears. I really have to stuff my ears into the earpads with my fingers.
Had I tried these earphones on in a shop I would not have bought them, for that reason alone.
All in all a pretty good set for listening to music. Especially with psybient and other electronic music (with no singing). The lows of these headphones seem to be made for those genres of music, amost.
If you mainly play songs with voices/singing there are better choices out there.

I placed an order without realising my address (on PayPal) hadn’t changed yet, as I have recently moved to another city. After contacting support, I was told that changing the address order was impossible. I then asked whether I could just simply cancel the order, which was also not possible, even though the order hadn’t been sent out yet. I was then also told to try to get DHL to change my delivery address, which – you guessed it – was also not possible. I get that it may be difficult to change an order that has already been processed or shipped to the courier service, but this all happened several days before I even got confirmation that DHL was going to ship my package. Now I’m stuck trying to get a hold of a package of which I have no idea who got it, in a place where I never come anymore. It’s just a massive waste of time and potentially money and could have simply been avoided by allowing me to cancel my initial order (that hadn’t even been shipped yet at that point).

I started out with a beyerdynamic DT-990 Pro, and I already fell in absolute love with it. Later on, I needed earphones for easy on-the-go, so then I got the beyerdynamic Soul Byrd, absolutely great earphones for their price. Unfortunately, I've been using them so much, that the cable is almost giving up, yet they still function perfectly fine. I already thought that if beyerdynamic ever made true wireless audio, I'd be sold. And lo and behold, here they are with the Free Byrd, which I now own too!
Soundwise, beyerdynamic products are always great, so I am a very satisfied customer.

El cable Beyerdynamic grado audiófilo de 3.0 m textil para Beyerdynamic Amiron Home no sólo es de una gran calidad, si no que también ha mejorado en todos los sentidos mis auriculares, tanto en sonido como en comodidad, estoy muy satisfecho con el trato de Beyerdynamic, no así cómo el trato de DHL, puesto que alegó que no estaba en el domicilio el día de la entrega y no fue así dado que estuve todo el día en casa esperándolo. Además que al día siguiente cuando llegué a recoger el paquete al servicepoint que seleccionó el repartidor, al momento de recogerlo la caja estaba muy malograda y húmeda. Menos mal que el paquete por dentro estaba muy bien sellado y protegido. Adjunto fotos del estado del paquete.

I`m very content with my new Amiron Wireless Headphone, it has a great sound; very spacial and defined. Even the bass is good and balanced.....not too much, not too little ! So here`s a very happy customer.....if you can afford it, buy it: that`s my advice ;-)

Everything in the studio start and finish with the DT770 pro. I tried 154 models and for sure there are some costly headphone outperform these, but in some categories, the most important for me, these are unrivaled. The dt770 are spacious, detailed, robust and extended in the extreme frequencies. Their reproduction of the mid frequencies are neutral and while not very forward, they are just right. Some areas are very reminiscent of te flagship models that cost thousands. I love them.

I’ve ordered my first Open Back headphones (DT-990 Special Edition Black) and I am very happy with the purchase. The sound is really nice, very wide and not tiring on the long term like some Closed Back Headphones I’ve used. Please keep in mind that 250 Ohm & higher might required an audio interface or amp to be able to set the sound louder because when listening on these headphones from my iPhone, the sound is sometimes too low for me. The order has been shipped and delivered in a few days (from Germany to The Netherlands) which was fine by me. Didn’t take too long nor was it super fast. And last I’d like to mention that I’m glad I ordered the headphones from Beyerdynamic. A lot of webshops offer them as well but I rather order the product directly from the manufacturer instead of from the middle man at least when it’s possible. But that’s just my personal preference.
