Very pleased with the quality of the bags for my MX-5. Opted for the "cheaper" version but excellent well made product and snug fit. Can't wait for my European road trip! UK buyers please note : Only downside to the buying experience was the UK customs surcharge which is to be fair well highlighted by Car - Bags and the courier DPD on the shopping trolley page prior to payment. Email direct from DPD with charges (£50.22 for mine) Fast delivery!!

I wanted to buy a set for my Mondeo HEV. I asked about the fit and they did send me the measurements. No, the Mondeo set does not fit a Mondeo HEV. I measured the space and worked out what I needed (individual bags). I then asked if they would honour the price of the set rather than me spending more for individual bags - no, because apparently that wouldn't be fair! Despite my better judgment I ordered the bags. After a week I noticed that the order was with the courier but hadn't moved. I got in contact with car-bags.com who said they would look into it and let me know - they didn't get back in touch. A few days later I checked again to be told that my bags were actually due to be delivered that day. A few hours later I got a message that they had been delivered and signed for by someone I'd never heard of. I messaged car-bags.com - no response. They later sent me a separate email telling me that the bags had been returned to them for "some unknown reason". I asked for a refund - no response. I raised a complaint and they referred me to a previous email that they'd sent - don't know why. I asked again for a refund. I also asked for them to be mindful that I was paying transaction fees and currency fluctuates - no response. They did refund me quickly, but no view on the charges, no apology no suggestion on how to fix things/ Really poor and I am €40 out of pocket for absolutely nothing to show for it. And finally, paying VAT twice? Please refer to the UK customs website - the only people allowed to charge VAT for imports is the UK government. If your system can't deduct VAT then you should be raising a partial refund to avoid being accused of tax fraud. I would not recommend this company which is a real shame because their products actually look really good.
