Englishman living in England First time buying from Cooking Life. To purchase this produce in England would have cost £99.99. Getting it from Cooking-life cost £65.00. Communications from Cooking-life was very good from the start. Order received; order processed order dispatched. Then nervous couple of day till it was in the tracking system. Fedex across the borders great tracking system. Then arrived in England. Hermes. Was not delivered when stated, said no one was in to receive it, no idea where they tried to deliver it to. Due to Easter had to wait a few more days, when the regular courier turns up, she said there was a temp driver on, lots of complaints. Conclusion Great service from shop and transport, hopefully your have the right courier for the final leg.

I have made 3-4 orders with cookinglife in the past. The delivery usually takes about a week. I used to be happy with the selection of products in the shop and the deliver and quality. My last order though was the opposite of what I was used to at Cookinglife. I had ordered a range of MEPAL storage boxes. Although the delivery box was not damaged, 6 of the storage boxes were broken. On one box a piece of the plastic on the top had broken off and five of the other boxes had a deep scratch along the side. This must have been from when they unpacked the items at their warehouse as I didn't open the box with a knife. I sent them an email and got a response saying that I needed to provide photos of the box, the broken items and the delivery slip. I took photos of everything they had asked and sent it. They couldn't open the heic files so I changed into png. In total I sent the photos 3 times and when they had what they asked for they stopped responding to my emails. Im very disappointed of the customer service. I expect a replacement or the money back but they are not responding and ignoring my emails. It is going to be three weeks already without solving this.This is very unprofessional and I wouldnt have expected this. Cannot recommend.

Hi Lorraine, I am happy to report our missing parcel (PL0000469568) has been found. FastWay Couriers placed it in behind a back entrance to a neighbours house, not their main entrance, and they have been away. It was discovered for us by another neighbour who was minding a cat for them. Our Eircode shown on the parcel clearly indicates the exact location and Number of our house that FastWay's driver drove past!!!. I am happy with the Product and you should rightly be getting 5 Stars but I have to rate the inconvenience the last stage of delivery has called. David

The product is still packaged but looks fine and was packaged well. I was well informed at all times but my address was messed up. I contacted the company who did indeed amend my address but not in time for the courier company’s delivery. On the morning of my delivery I saw another different address which I presume the courier company guessed from the botched original one. Delivery was sent on time but to this new address. Luckily I was able to hot foot it the the said house and got my parcel ( they had opened it but all was ok) due to the fact there was a picture and location map of the delivery. So well done the delivery company for that. It was a little stressful hence the three stars. Plus if the parcel had been taken in and the products thought desirable I might not have seen it given back to me.

The item ordered was "as described" and packed very well. The quality looks excellent and we have no problem with that at all.The choice of courier service however was questionable as it has taken 8 days from start to finish for a single package to travel from the Netherlands to France, a journey without borders thanks to EU rules but one that could've been achieved quicker on a bicycle. Eight days is not a long time in the grand scheme of things but when you're operating as an "e business" this poor courier service will seriously degrade the quality of services offered by this seller and make me think twice before using them again.

This is the third time I have ordered crockery from this company, and it is really beautiful, and I think good value. I was kept informed about the delivery and each time this was done very speedily. My only criticism is that on two occasions some of the crockery arrived broken. I think there should have been more packing material to prevent this. However on both occasions the company dealt with this so efficiently, responding straight away and replacing damaged items. So while I think the packing should be better this would not put me off from ordering from them again, and, had it not been for this I would have awarded 5 stars.

Very efficient, helpful, good communication, excellent quality products - but... There is no special packaging put in place, so that items that are retail packaged are simply bagged up and shipped as they are, and after five deliveries, two were damaged in transit, whereas if packaged up properly, they would have been fine. In both cases of damage, they replaced the items speedily, and without too many questions, albeit in the same fragile packaging, again!

I like the speed of receiving my purchase. But it was a day late as the Irish courier said they couldn't delivery on 01/02/22 because my Eir Code was missing. When I received package yesterday my Eir Code was printed on the Fed X label and the Fastway label. So it wasn't missing. I took a day off work so somebody would be there to receive the item. As it didn't arrive on the day it should have I had to make other arrangements

The knife i purchased was well priced for the quality of the blade. However the packaging was bellow average which could have led to it being damaged.. Arrived with just the box with the knife inside. No bubble wrapping, no protection for the blade. When i opened the box which was i found the knife without the tip protected and exposed.. The paper work inside of it was scrunched up like it had been inside a washing machine.

Product ordered was dispatched promptly. Product was as expected. However, from carrier pickup to delivery at destination took longer than expected. I note that the destination country was not shown on the carrier's documentation. It was shown on the supplier's OK.

Very easy to order LeCreuset plates, and kept up to date regarding despatch, which was very helpful. The package was delivered today, Wednesday 26th January, but box was partly open as not enough securing tape around the cardboard box and was slightly damaged. However on checking the contents before the courier left they were in perfect condition. Very pleased with the plates.

Loved the product. Delivery was quick, but the one issue was that the package was not delivered to my local post office. It went to one further away (not unreasonably). With hindsight though, I might have selected the wrong delivery option on the website; I just don’t remember. Or else Fedex only delivers to that particular location. I’ll figure it out for next time.

1 glass out of six broken. Poorly packaged with not enough protection. Offered basic cost of glass rather than replacement therefore if I needed to order another with postage I would have been out of pocket by approx 10€. Also the 3.99€ given as compensation was subject to a 1€ charge by my bank to convert to £. I won’t be using again.

Ordering was OK and notifications were also OK. a bit slow maybe but in the present circumstances that's not surprising. However once in transit, notifications were good. Only downside was using Hermes for delivery. They have been much improved lately, but let down on this occasion. However, package arrived in the end.

Fortunately my parcel arrived surprisingly safely considering the very poor packing which had become unstuck, both on top, flap open ,and underneath the box the tape was not secure at all. Only one width of sellotape for a all joins and 1 KG contents. But, we are delighted with the contents!

Good communication on delivery times. Product arrived on accordance with emailed time. Well presented and wrapped as Alessi baubles are fragile. Only complaint would be overpacked re box size was far to large andvwhikst cardboard can be recycled energy is still consumed in the process.

This was a gift for my husband and he was very pleased with it! His comments were that it felt very comfortable to hold although he has yet to use it. My only complaint would be that it doesn’t have a cover for the knife part and I feel would benefit from some sort of case or pouch!

Delivery was slow - 8 days. Product description was sufficiently poor that the purchase did not match my expectation and intention [but I received what I had ordered]. The size and / or weight of the items would have provided the information necessary to avoid the mistake
