It was a long wait for my custom made Katana. BUT it was worth it ! It has a wonderful Hamon and special high grade Polish. Absolutely no rattle in the saya..None ! I am proud to own this unique Katana made of T10 Steel. The wrapping of the Tsuka with real brown leather over real Stingray skin is awesome. Beautiful, strong , professional Katana. Thank you Yarinohanzo, also for the gifts.

There was an error and my order arrived late, but they did give me a compensation katana cleaning kit. When my katana came everything was good BUT, the katana had no hamone and there were rusty finger prints, the rest of the blade and sageo and brown belt were good but the katana was just awful because i paid € 180 and the clay tempered hamone should have been on the blade because i paid specifically for that as well , BUT i did get a recompensation the customer service was very friendly and professional. the whole thing did take a while but thats understandable. They gave me a new katana and there were no costs for exchanging it. Everything has been fixed and i would recommend yarinohanzo but u will need some patience haha

I ordered a rather cheap Iaito from YariNoHanzo as a secondary training tool, because it’s metallurgy allowed for a slightly heavier design than usual, making it closer to a shinken. I made thorough research before turning to them and even though there are a few horror stories from anonymous redditors, I have to say that Im pretty happy with what I got. Other than the wax inside the Saya they use for I don’t know what sort of protective purposes, the quality is pretty okay for the price. The sword doesn’t rattle in the saya, the tsuka ito is fairly tight, which is great as I believe that adds a lot to the safety of using the sword (I don’t see having to change it myself in the upcoming year, even with quite intensive training). These aside, it did come with a few minor aesthetic flaws, albeit not extremely noticeable. The habaki had two slightly larger rub marks on each side straight from the box, and the cutouts on the tsuba are in a rather weird place, which depending on the minor differences between each practician’s way of holding it, could lead to skin rubbing, or even smaller scarring on the knuckle above your thumb. Considering the price and everything I just stated, I would rate both the sword and the service a 7.5/10, or 4 stars. I will definitely consider turning to them when shopping for a new shinken soon and Im hoping that going upwards on the price charts will solve the minor flaws I pointed out.

Your product and website are awsome ! But your delivery "service" subcontractor GLS is a catastrophy! No respect of deliver indication. Wrong place, wrong day. The carrier delivers where he wants, the day he wants, and advises you of that if he wants. This does not do justice to the seriousness and quality of YNH’s products.

The overall artisanship of their Katanas for Iaidō are immaculate; the solid Tsuba has Sakuras shapes cut into it; additionally, other Sakuras that are overlayed onto the Fuchi, which is very elegant much like the Menuki Sakura within the Tsuka on top of the Samegawa, which is under the Tsukaito. Moreover, the cotton Tsukaito feels extremely comfortable in the hands; and the balance of the Katana is also perfect as it does not feel weighted or biased to one side or another. I.e., it feels like an extension of one. Also, the Kashira is just as beautiful as all the other Cherry Blossoms that decorate this wonderful Katana. The Saya is also extremely well-made and has an ostensible shine to it, i.e., polished, which is pleasing to the eye. The Toshin/Nagasa is stunning; e.g., the Notare Hamon is engaging as one eyes follow the flowing lines like Mizu (Water) dancing on the Toshin: stunning craftsmanship. The steel blade is truly nicer juxtaposed to an alloy one as it is heavier, and thus, more closer to an actual LIVE Katana. Regarding customer service, it is excellent as one YariNoHanzo's representatives ("M") not only wrote back to me due to a query I had about their Iaidōgi (for beginners) in my order, but she also alerted me of when my order was being shipped and provided a tracking number too. Transparency and honesty are lacking within most companies, but not this one. Suffice it to say, I will be ordering another superior Katana, a custom one, a little later into my Keiko/Iaidō. Only flaw… my custom blade was ordered with double bo-hi.. came without bohi at all after 10 months… other than that.. sword is absolutely stunning. Top quality nice materials everyhings fit well nothing rattles.. absolutely love it. Thanks yari no hanzo. It was well worth it to wait.

The website made the order easier and i had no problem with the payment method i choosed. I didn't had to communicate with customer service so i have no opinion about it but it's still a point for you guys. Shipped with GLS within 11 days in factory condition. First impressions as i took it out from the box was "Now, that's a professional manufacturer who make iaito for people who can't afford a more expensive one, but still good quality." I would recommend and will buy from you again! Thank you very much!

I ordered a katana from YariNoHanzo and overall I’m very satisfied. The sword arrived safely at my house and was well protected during shipping. The blade, fittings, and overall construction feel solid for the price. The tsuba has a detailed design and the sword looks great in person. There were a few minor issues. The tsuka-ito is slightly loose and the saya had some white residue inside, which left dust on the blade when drawing it. The sword also arrived with a thick protective oil coating that needed cleaning. Despite these small issues, the sword feels sturdy and offers good value for a budget katana. I would recommend YariNoHanzo to anyone looking for an entry-level katana.

After a misunderstanding about an email I sent and apparently got lost, I posted a bad review. Directly they contacted me to sort out what the problem was. I could resend my email and they directly acted on it. Reason for me to change my point of view and rewrite my review. Thanks, guys, for reaching out to me; realy appreciate that. Big thumbs up!

I am very satisfied with the shipping and handling of the sword; it was very well packaged, and it is a very beautiful and sharp sword. I will definitely be making another purchase.

Líbila se mi rychlost dodání a také sleva na další nákup. Překvapilo mne, že ke kataně není průvodní list (certifikat). A rozlobil mne vosk nebo co to je uvnitř saya. Vždy po tasení byla čepel znečištěná.

The Katana arrived in perfect condition. Nothing loose and no rattles, dents dings etc. Quick delivery and great communication. Happy to buy again in the future

…but customer support is great. Very helpful, quick responses, solution-oriented. Despite an initial error within the order process, we received immediate assistance. Product quality, packaging and delivery add up to a satisfying customer experience - which cannot be taken for granted nowadays. Thanks a lot for that. 👍

The order arrived within the promised delivery time, at the earliest estimated date. Everything was well packed and arrived in perfect condition. The products met my expectations, and the sword even exceeded them.

Very quick and friendly customer support. Quick delivery even though I have chosen the slowest option. Katana is for the price very well made. But the blade could be a little bit sharper.

I'm not an expert to valorate deeply a katana. But It sems that everything is according to description. And the process went completely smooth, and correctly. Everything OK.

My last custom katana order was astonishing well done. My most sincere congratulations to the swordsmith.
