There was an error and my order arrived late, but they did give me a compensation katana cleaning kit. When my katana came everything was good BUT, the katana had no hamone and there were rusty finger prints, the rest of the blade and sageo and brown belt were good but the katana was just awful because i paid € 180 and the clay tempered hamone should have been on the blade because i paid specifically for that as well , BUT i did get a recompensation the customer service was very friendly and professional. the whole thing did take a while but thats understandable. They gave me a new katana and there were no costs for exchanging it. Everything has been fixed and i would recommend yarinohanzo but u will need some patience haha

I ordered a rather cheap Iaito from YariNoHanzo as a secondary training tool, because it’s metallurgy allowed for a slightly heavier design than usual, making it closer to a shinken. I made thorough research before turning to them and even though there are a few horror stories from anonymous redditors, I have to say that Im pretty happy with what I got. Other than the wax inside the Saya they use for I don’t know what sort of protective purposes, the quality is pretty okay for the price. The sword doesn’t rattle in the saya, the tsuka ito is fairly tight, which is great as I believe that adds a lot to the safety of using the sword (I don’t see having to change it myself in the upcoming year, even with quite intensive training). These aside, it did come with a few minor aesthetic flaws, albeit not extremely noticeable. The habaki had two slightly larger rub marks on each side straight from the box, and the cutouts on the tsuba are in a rather weird place, which depending on the minor differences between each practician’s way of holding it, could lead to skin rubbing, or even smaller scarring on the knuckle above your thumb. Considering the price and everything I just stated, I would rate both the sword and the service a 7.5/10, or 4 stars. I will definitely consider turning to them when shopping for a new shinken soon and Im hoping that going upwards on the price charts will solve the minor flaws I pointed out.

The overall artisanship of their Katanas for Iaidō are immaculate; the solid Tsuba has Sakuras shapes cut into it; additionally, other Sakuras that are overlayed onto the Fuchi, which is very elegant much like the Menuki Sakura within the Tsuka on top of the Samegawa, which is under the Tsukaito. Moreover, the cotton Tsukaito feels extremely comfortable in the hands; and the balance of the Katana is also perfect as it does not feel weighted or biased to one side or another. I.e., it feels like an extension of one. Also, the Kashira is just as beautiful as all the other Cherry Blossoms that decorate this wonderful Katana. The Saya is also extremely well-made and has an ostensible shine to it, i.e., polished, which is pleasing to the eye. The Toshin/Nagasa is stunning; e.g., the Notare Hamon is engaging as one eyes follow the flowing lines like Mizu (Water) dancing on the Toshin: stunning craftsmanship. The steel blade is truly nicer juxtaposed to an alloy one as it is heavier, and thus, more closer to an actual LIVE Katana. Regarding customer service, it is excellent as one YariNoHanzo's representatives ("M") not only wrote back to me due to a query I had about their Iaidōgi (for beginners) in my order, but she also alerted me of when my order was being shipped and provided a tracking number too. Transparency and honesty are lacking within most companies, but not this one. Suffice it to say, I will be ordering another superior Katana, a custom one, a little later into my Keiko/Iaidō. Die Abbilder der Schwerter sind teils klein so das man Details nicht erkennen kann. Der Bestellprozess ist nicht umständlich aber auch nicht einfach, die Rechnungen sind unübersichtlich, kleine Bilder und nichtssagende Bestellnummern. Eine Identifizierung der Artikel nach Jehren ist schwierig. Die Bestellabwicklung, der Versand und die Anlieferung haben bisher immer funktioniert. Die Beschreibung der Artikel ist nicht so gut gemacht und man kann z.B. nicht nach technischen Daten suchen. Auch sind diese auf einer Nebenseite „versteckt“.

The website made the order easier and i had no problem with the payment method i choosed. I didn't had to communicate with customer service so i have no opinion about it but it's still a point for you guys. Shipped with GLS within 11 days in factory condition. First impressions as i took it out from the box was "Now, that's a professional manufacturer who make iaito for people who can't afford a more expensive one, but still good quality." I ordered a katana from YariNoHanzo and overall I’m very satisfied. The sword arrived safely at my house and was well protected during shipping. The blade, fittings, and overall construction feel solid for the price. The tsuba has a detailed design and the sword looks great in person. There were a few minor issues. The tsuka-ito is slightly loose and the saya had some white residue inside, which left dust on the blade when drawing it. The sword also arrived with a thick protective oil coating that needed cleaning. Despite these small issues, the sword feels sturdy and offers good value for a budget katana. I would recommend YariNoHanzo to anyone looking for an entry-level katana.

After a misunderstanding about an email I sent and apparently got lost, I posted a bad review. Directly they contacted me to sort out what the problem was. Líbila se mi rychlost dodání a také sleva na další nákup. Překvapilo mne, že ke kataně není průvodní list (certifikat). A rozlobil mne vosk nebo co to je uvnitř saya. Vždy po tasení byla čepel znečištěná.

I received the katana I ordered exactly as it was shown on their website. The katana is beautiful, but there is a small blemish on the blade that looks like rust, and I can't clean it off. I'll keep an eye out for deals on my next order.

Ordered 12 Naginatas. One tip broke off when it touched the ground. Otherwise everything was great. Quick shipping. Be aware of additional custom fees or tariffs in the US. (But not huge fees). I have not raised the issue with customer service.
