I love the screen free learning and fun. Promotes independence. Great variety of topics.
The timio does not turn off on its own after some time, as stated on the website! In fact it continues to talk on its own and drains the batteries, which need frequent replacement if not manually turned off. Wakes my child up in the middle of the night when he falls asleep with it because of this (without him having touched it). Some of the sounds are a little strange... for instance on the sea creatures disc, the shark sounds like a roaring dinosaur!?
I also wish I knew the product was British English not American English.

We have a 1st gen TIMIO that we have loved for years. I bought the new stories as my daughter has listened to the other ones 100s of times. We installed the new SD card and it will work until you turn the unit off, or after a period of inactivity. Then it says to insert the new SD card. We then need to unscrew the back take it out, put it back in and try again. Sometimes we have to do that multiple times for it to work. Then if we want to play one of the old disks now we need to put in the old SD card. We essentially don't use it anymore, which is super unfortunate. My daughter really liked listening to stories before she fell asleep, but now it is just a source of frustration. .

Qualité du plastique à revoir. Un sac de rangement pour le lecteur ou juste un plus grd sac.
Les zones sensibles ne correspondent pas exactement avec les dessins, l'enfant n'a pas le réflexe d'appuyer vers l'extérieur.
Cela reste un jouet sympa et facile d'accès même pour les tout petits.
Dommage que les disques soient si chers, et limités.

Je trouve que les exemples de phrases n est pas des plus judicieux, cela parasite un peu l information essentielle
J aurais apprécié un système pour bloquer le changement de langues car très vite l enfant change tout le temps de langue

Décrire derrière chaque disque le contenu!
Le rangement des disques est difficile même dans le sac à dos prévu!
Le carton de l’appareil pourrait se transformer en rangement des disques !

J’ai bien reçu et le concept est super mais très déçue du service client car il y a un défaut sur mes disques et malgré les avoir contactés pour demander un échange, ils ne m’ont jamais répondu !

Hi Michelle, I'm happy to hear that TIMIO entertained your daughter for such a long period of time! I wished you had contacted us earlier, as I feel a 1 star review for having brought so much pleasure to your daughter is unfair : ( ... Our email is clearly displayed on our website and we reply super fast. The issue with the new SD card can have many reasons. But it takes just a couple of minutes to update your original SD card if the new one is defective. I'll email you the link for the update. Cheers!
