I love the screen free learning and fun. Promotes independence. Great variety of topics.
The timio does not turn off on its own after some time, as stated on the website! In fact it continues to talk on its own and drains the batteries, which need frequent replacement if not manually turned off. Wakes my child up in the middle of the night when he falls asleep with it because of this (without him having touched it). Some of the sounds are a little strange... for instance on the sea creatures disc, the shark sounds like a roaring dinosaur!?
I also wish I knew the product was British English not American English.

We have a 1st gen TIMIO that we have loved for years. I bought the new stories as my daughter has listened to the other ones 100s of times. We installed the new SD card and it will work until you turn the unit off, or after a period of inactivity. Then it says to insert the new SD card. We then need to unscrew the back take it out, put it back in and try again. Sometimes we have to do that multiple times for it to work. Then if we want to play one of the old disks now we need to put in the old SD card. We essentially don't use it anymore, which is super unfortunate. My daughter really liked listening to stories before she fell asleep, but now it is just a source of frustration. .

Zo handig in gebruik. Je zet hem zo van Nederlands naar Engels. En de kinderen kiezen zelf wat ze willen horen, spelen, oefenen. Groot succes!!

Great educational materials, exquisite audio quality, intuitive and fun. My 13-months-old loves it (I saved some of the overlays for later, by all the sound-related, nursery rhymes and music-related overlays are in use). My Mom (Grandma) steals a couple minutes to learn English. I enjoy finding out how little French animal names I remember from school. I'll buy any new overlay releases.

Un gioco davvero educativo, senza schermo, per far concentrare il bambino sui suoni e sulle richieste della voce guida, ma anche per tanti momenti di relax.
Se proprio devo trovare un difetto, avrei preferito una ricarica USB anziché dover cambiare le batterie.
