The results are helpful in many ways. I do have a concern that because the testing is done in the UK, and I live in the US, that some items which would show up strongly are not included. For example, Madrona trees are in the NW, north of Seattle, where I live, but may not be in the list of environmental items being tested. Also, I'm very allergic to house dust, but don't see it listed. I have ongoing sinus issues and wondering if there are a number of substances that only came to 84%, but collectively could make a difference. On another note, I am grateful that this test has been made affordable, and realize that I am probably wanting too much for the money. Thank you for providing a low cost alternative.

I hate to say it but I believe Test My Allergy is a scam. I had ordered one test for the basic hair test. Plucked hairs from my scalp. I thought it was great and a year or so later, I decided to purchase the premium hair test to check for the things that weren't checked for in the basic test. Plucked the hair from my scalp- hair had not been cut between tests. I was expecting the new test to have the same information as the first test along with new information that wasn't tested for in the first test. Yea, I received all new information. Very few same items. Like food sensitivities- a whole bunch of new ones and maybe 3 repeat ones. How can around 20 food sensitivities all change and go away in less than 2 years time? Especially when I hadn't changed my diet or lifestyle at all. After I received my second test and seen the results didn't even remotely match my first test, I started to look up reviews for TMA. It seems they have excellent reviews for people who order 1 test- or select that they want to do a retest. But for those who do 2 tests under different names but same hair- those are the ones who are getting drastically different results like mine. Which when paired with my results and after seeing other people's feedback- I think Test My Allergy is a scam service. Before you use this service, please do your research and look at feedback from other people. I seen people who ordered 2 tests at the exact same time and plucked hairs at the same time- but both tests were different. The company may have a good idea, but it needs more work and testing before taking money from people and selling it as a product.

I was never given instructions on the allergy test I purchased, never received a confirmation email. I waited weeks for it to be delivered in the mail but it never was. I put in a dispute with Paypal and that is when I find out it's not a test delivered in the mail. I followed the instructions in the message from the paypal dispute, and as of today (3 days later) I still don't have the email I was suppose to get with the instructions and where to send it.

It is not a physical product. They supposedly email you a form but I never got it. When I emailed them I was ignored until after I filed a claim with Paypal. They sent me a link in the Paypal dispute but I have no confidence that I will receive an email result when they never sent an email confirmation with instructions after payment. And Paypal has not issued a refund with my dispute.

Pretty sketchy

First off, never got any indication that you received my results. Wife's results came in and mine never did. Contacted the company and magically my results came in with absolutely little to no correlation to my real life allergy results. Offered to share my medical results for a better comparison to help them improve thier results. No response.

Run away from this scam

I have sent over four emails to register the kit and there has been no response. My first email was over a month ago I’m not sure why you would even bother with feedback when you can’t figure out how to respond to an email you don’t have a phone number so I am required to email you, and you choose to not respond

Double Charged

My husband and I ordered a couples test from this company and they double-billed us. We had previously discussed purchasing a test and placed one in the cart, but we did not purchase it. We kept getting emails reminding us that the test was in the cart so we finally "clicked the link" in the email and purchased it. The email showed one couples test in the cart, but when we completed the purchase, it showed two couples tests in the cart. They have a chat feature on their website so we immediately contacted them on it to get the extra charge refunded. At first, they acted like we didn't have an order. So, we gave them screenshots showing the order number and the price they charged. Then they said we had to email them for a refund. We emailed them and then they said it had to go to their finance department for a refund. After some back and forth, with them insisting we ordered two couples tests, we decided we didn't want to deal with the company at all and asked for a full refund. But, honestly, We were a bit over it when we were initially told we didn't have an order at all and we had to prove we did. I also left a comment on one of their ads on Facebook warning others to be careful purchasing anything from them, as we had been double-charged and were having to go through all these steps to get refunded. I wasn't ugly, but I stated the facts of how it had gone so far contacting them and telling other buyers to pay attention to their purchase and what they were charged. As a result, the TestMyAllergy page blocked me on Facebook and that is all I needed to know about them. If they blocked me, then that tells you they block anyone that says anything that they do not like, therefore you aren't getting the whole story of dealing with them. We did get a refund after much back and forth and by placing a review on another website. As someone who has worked in customer service, they would have done much better had they apologized for the issue and inconvenience, refunded the extra charge, and been amicable and polite. Instead, they pretended we didn't have an order and then stated repeatedly that it was our fault that we were double-charged when all we did was click the link in the email they sent us for one couples test and got two instead.
