The results are helpful in many ways. I do have a concern that because the testing is done in the UK, and I live in the US, that some items which would show up strongly are not included. For example, Madrona trees are in the NW, north of Seattle, where I live, but may not be in the list of environmental items being tested. Also, I'm very allergic to house dust, but don't see it listed. I have ongoing sinus issues and wondering if there are a number of substances that only came to 84%, but collectively could make a difference. On another note, I am grateful that this test has been made affordable, and realize that I am probably wanting too much for the money. Thank you for providing a low cost alternative.

I hate to say it but I believe Test My Allergy is a scam. I had ordered one test for the basic hair test. Plucked hairs from my scalp. I thought it was great and a year or so later, I decided to purchase the premium hair test to check for the things that weren't checked for in the basic test. Plucked the hair from my scalp- hair had not been cut between tests. I was expecting the new test to have the same information as the first test along with new information that wasn't tested for in the first test. Yea, I received all new information. Very few same items. Like food sensitivities- a whole bunch of new ones and maybe 3 repeat ones. How can around 20 food sensitivities all change and go away in less than 2 years time? Especially when I hadn't changed my diet or lifestyle at all. After I received my second test and seen the results didn't even remotely match my first test, I started to look up reviews for TMA. It seems they have excellent reviews for people who order 1 test- or select that they want to do a retest. But for those who do 2 tests under different names but same hair- those are the ones who are getting drastically different results like mine. Which when paired with my results and after seeing other people's feedback- I think Test My Allergy is a scam service. Before you use this service, please do your research and look at feedback from other people. I seen people who ordered 2 tests at the exact same time and plucked hairs at the same time- but both tests were different. The company may have a good idea, but it needs more work and testing before taking money from people and selling it as a product.

Interesting results, helped narrow down problems

I started with testing my dog, then I bought a 4 pack for my family. Found out wheat is a problem for me and that penicillin could be for my daugther. Really helpful in narrowing down problems. Test results came within 2 weeks.

I would have liked a better explanation on intolerances. Example: Instead of showing that I have an intolerance to all kinds of milk , is it a lactose intolerance or something else.

Thank you for your review and feedback. I am pleased to confirm our testing includes many different aspects of milk. However, we also test milk as a whole item. If you have shown an intolerance to milk as a whole item, we recommend removing dairy from the diet for 4-6 weeks. I had recently been struggling with a lot of stomach pain and decided to send in my test. The intolerances and the levels I received have been very accurate so far! My stomach feels a lot better, and I’ve lost a lot of weight!

The whole process from purchase to receiving my results were easy. The report once received was easy to read and the information super helpful. My only recommendation is to pay for expedited processing, you will wait 10-12 days before you results are available.
