Excellent purchasing experience and great tutorials. Much better than the other floor planning and design software options I’ve downloaded for trial and whilst it is a steep learning curve it is definitely worth the money. 👍

Works Perfectly on Mac with Parallels

I’m in my early 60s and recently started using the Pro version on my MacBook through Parallels — it runs beautifully. The program is smooth, stable, and my Mac doesn’t heat up even during long sessions. At first, I was a bit worried that it might only be suited for the USA, since most customers seem to be from there, but I was pleasantly surprised — everything works perfectly in Europe as well. You can easily switch between meters, centimeters, and other units, and the metric system is fully supported. I’ve already created complete building drawings, including floor plans, sections, and elevations, and sent them directly to my architect. He said the accuracy was excellent. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Buying it was super easy. Crazy good deal since there’s no subscription. Still getting used to it but really like it. Definitely watch the tutorials though, they help a ton.

I bought Plan7Architect after seeing it on Facebook because I wanted to remodel my living room and kitchen myself. I’m not a designer, but I was surprised at how quickly I learned to use it. I could move walls, test new door positions, and even furnish everything in 3D. What I love most is switching between 2D and 3D instantly — it helps me see if an idea actually works before spending money. My husband and I printed the plans and showed them to our contractor, and he said they were clear enough to follow. Really happy with this purchase.

I’ve tried learning AutoCAD before and gave up twice. With P7A, I actually stuck with it. The workflow just makes more sense for someone who wants to design a real house, not engineer a spaceship.

worth it

The software works great once you get familiar with it. I like that it supports both metric and imperial, since I switch between them for different projects. After a short learning curve, I was able to draw complete floor plans and 3D views without any problems. It’s a powerful tool for the price — not overcomplicated, but definitely professional.

Big upgrade for me

I own a small construction business and originally planned to use Plan7Architect just to test a few layouts for clients. By now, it has become part of my regular workflow. What I value most is being able to present professional 2D plans together with realistic 3D views. Clients quickly grasp how their home will look, and I can adjust materials or finishes on the spot with very little effort.

Finally a Design Tool I Can Actually Use

I’ve always enjoyed sketching ideas for houses, but never had the patience for complicated design programs. Plan 7 Architect surprised me in the best way – it feels approachable, yet it doesn’t cut corners. Within the first weekend I was already laying out rooms and testing different roof shapes. What really impressed me was how easy it is to switch from a quick floor plan to a full 3D view that actually looks like a real house. I showed the drawings to a builder friend of mine, and he said they contained all the details he would normally need. I’m not a professional, but with this software I feel like I can get my ideas across clearly. It’s become my go-to tool whenever inspiration strikes.

I’ve been using the software for 5 days now and I have to say I’m positively surprised. By now I’m working with it quite well and can create very presentable floor plans. The 3D view takes some getting used to — I mean the controls — but after a while it works smoothly. It’s really easy to create sections, elevations, and a set of floor plans to send to my architect. Clear recommendation.

I am 68 years old and have worked with many different architecture programs in my life, and I have to say this is a very good piece of software. The operation is easy to learn, even for me as a retiree. It’s not all self-explanatory — you do need to sit down and watch the tutorials. You learn the most from the videos where complete houses are planned from start to finish. For the price of $159 USD, there is really nothing bad to say about the Pro version. Most importantly, you can create sections and elevations and then work with them in maximum detail. You can set the hatching for walls, wall layers, sections, and 2D views, which is very important for exporting documents as PDF.

I have the Pro Version

I have the Pro version. Overall, highly recommended! Very intuitive to use with a great range of features (stair generation, roof creation). A 3D model is automatically created and can be walked through (although the navigation inside the house takes a little getting used to). I previously used another professional program, but it was more complicated to handle and had fewer features. From my point of view, this is money very well spent if you’re planning a building project. Otherwise, there’s always the 14-day return policy.

Very easy to purchase. When you consider the one time cost, its a heck of a deal. I haven\'t used it much yet but so far it\'s a great program. You\'ll need to watch the videos!

We have installed Plan7 Pro on our MacBook Pro using UTM, and it runs very well. We are a small construction company from Texas and use the software to create design drafts for our clients. This allows us to present projects much more effectively and show them to customers. So far, we have received only very positive feedback from our clients.

We purchased the software to make some changes to our planned house. We asked our architect, who works with the latest version of AutoCAD, to send us his designs in DWG format. We were able to open and edit them with Plan7rchitect Pro, create several variations, and send some of them back to him. He was able to open the DWG files we created without any issues and continue working on them in AutoCAD.

I installed it on my MacBook Pro following the video guide. My wife and I are planning our new house together, and it’s a lot of fun — the program has been very helpful for us. The 3D navigation takes a bit of getting used to, but other than that I have no complaints.

My wife and I are using the program together. She's working on her MacBook with UTM and I'm on a Windows PC. I spent like 3 days drawing our floor plan and then sent the file to her. Now she's working on the renovation ideas and testing different versions. At first it’s a bit confusing with all the buttons and options, but once you get used to the interface, it gets easier and you can work much faster. My wife really likes the software – only thing is the 3D controls could be a bit easier to use. Maybe that will be improved in a future update.

I’m an architect, and I’m genuinely impressed by the software. It offers features you’d normally only find in programs that cost several thousand dollars. It’s incredible what you can do with it – it’s truly a powerhouse. We regularly test architectural software and know the market well. Getting this kind of functionality for such a low price is an outstanding deal.

Everything worked very well. The download was fast, the installation was easy, and support has responded quickly to all my questions so far. Now I just need to take some time to watch the tutorials — but overall, it already makes a very good first impression.
