Very efficient and well packed. The prices were also fair. The only minus point is regarding the delivery time. One day after this order, we bought some different products at a competitor (also German) and their products arrived 2 days earlier. We also used the same transport company. This wasn't that bad but comparing companies we would say that the competitor worked internally faster. Despite it, we strongly recommend bike-discount.de!!

price of the bikes are good but no emails saying you have bought it and the waiting time to recieve it 20 to 26 days :-( bought an ebike there 11days again and havent heard anyhting yet (no email saying thanks for.... or we will ship your bike asap ......)

Good product variety and quality, bad buying experience and delays in EU shipping

3 of my 4 bikes are bought from bike-discount.de - Radon City Confort, Radon Skeen Trail 9.0 and a Cube WLS Sting. I have a few dozen orders exceeding 10.000 euros in the last years and bike-discount.de was my first option for me regarding bikes and components. However, my experiences this year (2023) were totally disappointing and I hope I won't have to buy anything again from them. First, I bought in April 2023 a Radon Skeen Trail 9.0 which had a deliver time of 10 days in the websjop and was in stock at the time of the purchase. Along with the bike I ordered other parts and accessories (tubeless valves, sealant pedals etc) needed for the bike. The bike arrived after 3 weeks with the parcel being damaged and the rear wheel scratched - I received a voucher for the damage from bike-discount.de. The shipment was 100 euros worth intra EU and I received only a compensation from it - make up your own decision if it's worth it. However, the parts and accessories were send in another parcel that left the warehouse after 3 weeks - I received the bike with 10 days delay and I could not use it. They forgot to send it... After I made a ticket they send it with priority shipping and I got the parts in 48h. You judge if they could have send the parts before the bike...The bike itself it's superb, and I recommend the brand if they solve their problems with shipping. My second bad experience was this month when I placed and order on Tuesday evening for some parts (700 euros worth). The order was dispatched the next Monday and with insane luck was delivered in 10 days. If the carrier wouldn't have been ok, I would have received the order in 13 days. Again you judge if this is ok, considering that there are other important on-line shops in Germany that have next day delivery in the EU( with extra charge) or others that have half the price of shipping intra EU...

Feedback. Order# 03082302197. Hello! I made order # 03082302197 from 3 Aug 2023 14:53:00. I put 2 stars because order with total price more than ~260 € was not properly packed. Part of goods came damaged. It's my first order in your store. And impression is negative. Yes you have good prices for some items. But that doesn't gives you right to pack goods so bad. Let me explain in my parcel i had 2 boxes with Shimano MTB shoes which came with it's own carton box... But all the rest of items like Bell, Muc-off Foam, C02 cartridges, Muc-Off Sponge, Fox mud Guard, Rema Tip Top & Park Tool Super patch kit, Shimano TL-PD40 Pedal Axle Tool where just thrown into the box WITH ONE piece of paper and WITHOUT ANY additional packing material. As result all those small things are scratched; plastic cover of Muc-Off Foam is broken(see photo); Thread on C02 Cartridges is a damaged (even if it can't be seen on photo it damaged and it can cause deflating in the thread of cartridge pump when you need to use it) Don't you want to refund the damaged items? Probably not... P.s: before, I made a lot of orders at Bike24 and Tradeinn and those seller did not upset me as you did. They send orders packed well, ALWAYS!!! Take that into consideration, please! A warranty problem is dealt with catastrophically, it has not been resolved

I ordered a Hope tech 4 e4 complete brake set, right and left. A large amount of fluid leaked from both brakes in the package, and the two brake pipes were also different. I will send it back to them for an exchange. They said they would send the brakes back to the manufacturer for investigation. After many weeks, with great difficulty, they returned the unpacked brakes to me, which I had packed in such a way that the brake fluid could not leak out. They didn't even touch it!!! So it's just as wrong now as it was before, since nothing happened with it. They didn't solve the different brake pipes either, instead I got 2 m of the worse ones (I told them that one is of good quality, but the other is much worse and the color is different), I can do what I want with it. I am very disappointed in this company. I feel they don't care about the customer after paying them for the product and having a problem. Communication with them is difficult and cumbersome. A lot of time passed after the complaint before I received the same defective product again. So in the end, my problem was not solved at all, and now they left me alone. I feel cheated because they didn't tell me the truth. They will surely have an answer to this as well, with which they will reassure themselves that they have acted impeccably. But I doubt that.

Does not take responsibility for their inaccurate product descriptions

I bought a bottom bracket installation and removal tool from their website on order 17072301551. On the product page, it says it works with BB30 bottom brackets. It also states that "With its accuracy of fit and ease of use, this bottom bracket tool not only protects the frame, but also the nerves.", and "Particularly precise fit and gentle on the frame". This is though not the case and the tool impacts the frame of my bike and the tool could not install the bottom bracket bearings. Nowhere on the page is there a warning that the tool might not work with every frame and they clearly state that it works with BB30 bottom brackets. Instead of accepting a return of the tool and taking responsibility for their inaccurate product description, the customer support agent has blamed me for the issue. This is extremely disappointing as I otherwise have had good experiences with the shop. But from other reviews, I can gather that this is common that they have inaccurate product descriptions and do not take responsibility for it,

I was asked to remove items from my order

I came to bike-discount to order some parts and overshoes. Unfortunately, I don't know if and how the overshoes would fit over my shoes, so I ordered several so I could see their quality, but also to see if they would fit (EUR49). After ordering, I received an email a few days later stating I can't order so many overshoes to simply send back to the store. I was told to remove several overshoes from my order. I'd never experienced this kind of treatment in my life. I removed two pairs of overshoes, and eventually after two weeks, my order was shipped. In the mean time, the overshoes I removed my order, i ordered from elsewhere. After receiving and examining all of the overshoes, I went with a pair that I had removed from my bike-discount order - whoops! I was forced to go shop elsewhere, and as a result bike-discount lost out. As a result, I would rate their customer service as not up to a good standard. Learn to appreciate your customers instead of forcing them into the arms of your competitors.

Bad user experience for 2023

== LIKE == - Best prices == DISLIKE == - After i made an order, an item became unlisted on the website after just few days! Now i got the item, but i can't read its description or see photos. (An archived description needed, when the item is deleted from the store). - Items from the orders list are not linked to their page on the website. - Orders don't have a "status" (e.g. processing, shipped, delivered/completed). - Completed orders do not have a "leave a review" button. - Email sale letters are in German lang., links also redirect to German localization. - The website and its design feels outdated. - The website often is slow, sometimes very slow (server response). - Very short logged in session expire time. - Every time session expires, I have to set my country again.

It usually works, but...

It usually works fine, but when it doesn´t work the support and help has to work. Otherwise customers go somewhere else. In this case the package is doing ping-pong in Germany for the past week and a half and doesn´t seem to find it´s way to the right place. Since DHL doesn´t care about their packages (obviously) doing races between two german cities you have too. You are very slow to answer e-mails and that doesn´t inspire confidence in Bike Discount as a company. If you have to much backlog, either see what´s wrong with that or hire more people. Customers need information when it doesn´t go to plan, silence means you don´t care, it´s that simple. I´m now leaning on cancelling the order completley and request my money back, but will see, I´ll give you a few more days.

Not reliable at all. If you have a chance to buy in other shop, do not buy in this one. They sold me, they confirmed delivery and finally send me the fork I did not order. Than they told me they do not have the fork I paid for. I proposed they send me similar for the price (promotions ended and prices raised) but the refused. They do not care how much loss they caused on my side. No reflection, no client friendly solution. Just: we do not have what you paid for and it is your problem and if you have to pay more now we do not care. My recommendation: do not buy anything valuable in this shop (i.e. bike, fork, frame, wheels, etc.). Just don't.

Way too slow delivery – and way too slow customer support.

I like shopping at Bike-Discount – good prices, at lot of products in stock. However, your delivery time that past 6 months has been a joke. And you customer support is way too slow. I would like to keep shopping at Bike-Discount. However, regarding delivery and customer support you are getting way behind Bike24, Bike-Components and R2Bike, where I also shop. And I think the way your customer support has handled the issue with this order/case, is way below what I would expect. Hence, what you can compete on right now is probably only cheaper prices and/or you having products in stock, which are not in stock at one of the other webshops.

Customer service is horrible. TLDR; choose another company. They are rude and they could not keep up what they promise and when asked after, the just ignore your messages. When I started to handle case through PayPal, they tried to convince me to close case "because they cant make refund if case is open". Do not fall for that !! This is second order in a row, that had problems (first was 2-star feedback May 28, 2023). They answered to my earlier feedback "...contact with our customer service, and you have already found a good solution". That solution ended up being PayPal... Lesson learned after second order, shame on me ?

Still waiting for delivery

Mixed experience with the company. I have ordered some bike parts on 19th July, they dispatched it quite quickly, and it was handed over to delivery company DHL the 21st July. The parcel has arrived to DHL export center in Feucht the next day. So far so good. But the latest update was on 23 July, that the parcel was on its way to destination country. It has been over 2 weeks, when I finally had enough and reached out to customer service. They answered the next day and they are investigating my lost parcel as of now. I hope the issue gets resolved soon and I either receive my parcel or getting reimbursed for my purchase.

Poor bike assembly

Bike shipping was fast and it was well protected. However, bike assembly qualty was unacceptable: - steerer tube was too long - top cap rested on the steerer itself instead of stem/spacer which made headset bearing adjustment impossible - bottom bracket was not fully pressed into the frame - one of the cups was skewed which resulted in high crankset drag - cables are way too long - gears were not properly adjusted - inner tubes were twisted inside tires... This was definitely not ride-ready bike and the loose headset was just dangerous. Bike required some significant effort to fix all the issues.

Delivery was delayed significantly. Our delivery address was changed between entering it on the Bike-Discount store website and its arrival in the DHL database. This meant that the package could not be delivered. When I approached Bike-Discount, I was told that I should wait at least a week before they could contact DHL. After a week had passed, I was then told that my address was not appropriate for delivery, though it had originally be entered correctly on the Bike-Discount website. It seems to me that Bike-Discount should work with DHL to improve the service of handling orders in this way.

No option to exchange items for the same price

Placed a very big order, among which a pair of expensive MTB shoes. There were a tad too small so decided to opt for a larger size, only to find out that the price became >40 euros more expensive. Contacted the customer service to see if I could simply exchange them for a larger pair at the same price, they dodged all questions and provided no understanding for the situation. I only received robotic answers in poor English stating that they don’t do exchanges. Very poor customer service, at least try to explain why you have a certain policy. Last time I order through bike-discount

bad costumer service

Sometimes, true relationships are revealed in difficult times. Here too I have ordered many times without too many problems. Delays and mistakes happen. But the last time was particularly frustrating. There are two errors in the same order and no acknowledgment. Deferent description on the website whit what I received. During the holidays, they want me to return the items to send the correct ones, which they don't even have available on their site. This means at least 1 month delay. To "German" Costumer policy. There's nothing to be sorry about.

Uncompetitive returns policy

I ordered a bottom bracket tool from Bike-Discount.de, as I like to support smaller retailers. When the tool arrived, it would not stay engaged when high torque was applied. Hence I returned the item as being unfit for purpose. I was surprised to then be charged for the full return postage, as the nature of internet shopping is that you cannot test the goods before receipt. Other online bike retailers do not charge for returns and yet have quite similar prices to Bike-Discount. I will not be shopping at Bike-Discount again; what will you do?

Where is my garmin GPS...

I bought a garmin GPS, four weeks ago but it never arrived. I contacted customer service three times and they couldn't/wouldn't trace the package. They blamed the carrier, but they did nothing to rectify the issue or offered a replacement. Only thing they offered was a refund declaration, that I have to physically sign. There is no complaints process and very poor customer service. First time i rang they told me they can't do anything because they ate going home in 5 minutes. So much for German efficiency...

Gift voucher business processes.

My nephew in the UK gifted me (in Germany) a €100 voucher , with a valid voucher code. I used this online from my home in Germany. The payment went through, using the value of the voucher, and the sale was confirmed. One day later, I received an e mail saying the voucher was not valid and the sale was cancelled. This apparently was because of some issue with a voucher bought in the UK and being used in Germany. Piece of nonsense! Then why allow the purchase of a € voucher if it can't be used in a € country!

I've bought cycling equipment on 3 occasions and had no problem with 2, however one order was lost. I do not know what happened to this day, the store is blaming the courier and the courier is blaming the store. I had to chase both and got little help from the customer service team. I was sent from one person to another and after a month I was told to apply for a refund , in writing! When everything works, the store does what it's supposed to, but when you encounter an issue you' re alone.

Wrongly advised by BD

I’m a bit disappointed that I requested help via the contact us on the website and I bought the exactly part the person asked me to and unfortunately it was the wrong part. I found out how hard it is to return an item and the worse part, I was told I have to pay for the item to be returned from Ireland to Germany as well pay another 10 euro to deliver another part, this time the correct one. It would be a surprise but BD should have stepped in and assumed the mistake as helped me out.
