Very efficient and well packed. The prices were also fair. The only minus point is regarding the delivery time. One day after this order, we bought some different products at a competitor (also German) and their products arrived 2 days earlier. We also used the same transport company. This wasn't that bad but comparing companies we would say that the competitor worked internally faster. Despite it, we strongly recommend bike-discount.de!!

price of the bikes are good but no emails saying you have bought it and the waiting time to recieve it 20 to 26 days :-( bought an ebike there 11days again and havent heard anyhting yet (no email saying thanks for.... or we will ship your bike asap ......)

Ordered a wheelset, got wrong rear wheel

Ordered a wheelset, rear wheel was from different wheelset. To get what I ordered , I need first return wrong rear wheel, wait that shop handles my return and wait that they send correct item for me. First delivery lasted 1,5 weeks, now wrong wheelset is back again in the store (took 1 week). So I expect that I have a wheelset in my bike in riding condition takes total over 1 month :( No excuses, I have nor heard that they will compensate this for me etc... First and last order.

Huge 35% additional cost to goods ordered in form of Customs charges which added to final total made it far cheaper to order in UK. It also took 5 weeks to arrive due to customs delays via their delivery company. This is not directly Bike Discounts fault but UK customers should be made aware of potential delivery delays due to customs and big additional expenses to their goods. I have contacted Bike Discount Support team to express this but as yet 6 days later, no response

I ordered a product (a frame), but it was dented at the headset so completely useless and had serious problems with the paint. I returned it and received a new one without any excuses or whatsoever. In the mean while the sales price of that frame dropped between ordering and returning (1 week). And even when gently asking it was very clear (read: unfriendly) that there was no discussion possible. Very sad (and shameful) for a company claiming to offer the lowest price.

deception

If you sell goods with DHL shipment then send it with DHL not some other shipping company. I had shipped to me one order last year and one this year, that I payed for DHL shipment still I got them delivered from post service that charge extra and took long long time to delivered. This was not mention at the ordering web page. When I order from Amazon then I pay for DHL shipment and get delivered from DHL in short time, with no extra charge except the tax.

We would like to explain the following: We ship (among others) with DHL and in this case the shipment is handed over at the border to the local post office for further delivery. If DHL brings the shipment to the door, it is an order with DHL Express. We do not currently offer this, but this is in planning. The "fees" you have paid will probably be customs duties, which are payable when ordering to your country of delivery. This is required by law, and we point this out on our homepage. Poor communication. The delivery date is well overdue (at the time of this rating requested by Trusted Shops, the bike hasn't arrived yet, so I can't rate anything else). Upon enquiry, only a standard template email was received, nothing specific. If I had known that the delivery would take so long, I would have bought from the local official store where the price was the same and I would use the bike already a couple of weeks ago.

How loyal customers are recognized

The collection of parts that you deliver is quite wide. It consists of mainly good quality items. Hopefully high quality ebike lights from Lupine could be added. Delivery to Finland has taken usually more than a week which is few days more than some other german competitors of yours. From loyal customer point of view it would feel good to be recognized somehow if you buy certain total value of items during 12 months for example.

Another product was delivered instead of the ordered one

I ordered and paid for a product for 179.95€ I was sent another product for 44.95€, I guess my order was sent to someone else. Inside the original box of my order was a completely different product - Rain combo jersey men's Orbit Blue. I ordered the Assos Mille GTS Spring Fall C2 - Bib Shorts from which only the box came)) Now I need to exchange, which is my additional cost of money and time for return shipping and back to me.

It usually works, but.

I´ve ordered several times and the orders have arrived in time and without trouble but in this case, no. And a big no! I don´t think it´s Bike Discounts fault but DHL just sends the package in a loop in Germany. It doesn´t inspire confidence in further orders. It´s soon been a month since the order and for the past 2 weeks the package just travels around in Germany. Back and forth between Hamburg and Neumünster...

It took 13 days from order was placed until the order was ready to be shipped, which I think was very long time. The payment also went trough 9 days before the order was ready to be shipped. To my knowledge that is not allowed! Furthermore DHL that delivers the package didn’t notify me that I had to be home for the delivery until when they were at my address, so I had no chance of being home for that.

Add possibility to international courier.

Only thing I’d like to be different, is the selection of couriers. When shipping outside Germany both DHL (Deutsche post ) and DPD hands the package over to the local post service - from experience this causes several days of delay and uncertainty. It would be better if you could add international courriers like GLS with them it is easier to track and have packages delivered to a service point.

Bad feedback.

Big shop, good choice, But bad feedback. Very bad. Letters often do not respond, or respond late for several weeks. (I asked questions several times before buying.) 3.07 received a E-bike with defects during transportation. Posted by a letter with a problem 4.07. There is no response to the state of 12.07. P. S. Poor packaging but competitive prices

Poor packaging in combination with "bike discount" in big letters on the tape is inviting thieves to take valuables out of the box. On a previous order, my package just disappeared in transit and it took over 2 months to be reimbursed. Prices for components are still very competitive. in conclusion: good for components, but to be avoided for valuables like gps devices or watches.

Super slow delivery

When I ordered stated that delivery time was 1-3 business days. It took over 10 business days. Was meant to pick up the order whilst on holidays. Very little information on the status of the order or when it was being sent. Ultimately had to spend 200 euros of my own money and take a day off work to buy a plane ticket to go pick up the order since they would not forward it.

Free return is only for a handful of countries

Free return is only available for a small selection of countries (Germany, Belgium, Denmark, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Austria.) not within the EU. That came as a surprise as it is pretty basic feature for other online retailers (ie. Bikeinn) That is OK if you buy bike parts but a big problem if you buy bike clothing. Other than that prices and services are OK.

Had problems with delivery. Bike-Discount somehow managed not to deliver my phone number (which I correctly typer to my order…). Contacted Bike-Discount, which solved the problem by sending me only a phone number (which cost to call…) to solve my own problems. The guy at the Bike-Discount customer service was kind of rude. Not going to order anything from here probably.

The e-shop is great and shipment is not

The e-shop is great and have a big assortment. But the shipping is bad. I have ordered bicycle and some equipment. It was a mess with shipment. But I was surprised that my order was splitted in two parts and now I still wait for the rest of order. So, it takes around month to get your order. It's pretty uncomfortable. You should be patient to wait your order.

Good selection with fair price, but slow delivery

If you are not in the hurry, this is one of the best bike shops. If you are ordering a bike to be shipped abroad, prepare for one moth waiting, even if the bike is in the stock, when ordering. Two latest orders of bikes, it has been quite precise one moth total delivery time. First two weeks for packing and then two weeks for delivery with DHL.

The time from order registration and till you send out is to long and the time I received my order it took 10 days. And I paid extra for the deliverance but for what is that good for? complicated delivery

problem with transport. it was not delivered to DHL as stated, but it was sold to Czech Post. Czech Post is the worst delivery company. The price of transport was too high for the quality of this service. please do not entrust all parcels to the Czech post office! deliver by courier to the client like other German e-shops.
