Air France responds well and quickly to any calls. My flight was cancelled and I had to book another. What is really upsetting - your online booking system says that you are booked with even a confirmation number sent via email, but then the booking was withdrawn. I had to rebook and same email with a new confirmation number arrived in my inbox... I was terrified that the same "error" would occur again as there is nothing to say it is confirmed - and no receipt. Your new booking system upgrade has glitches. The worst thing for me - the price increased over $400 for the same flight. If your system is doing this to clients - your company then benefits because we have no choice but to rebook at a higher price. This is highly disappointing, especially as I fly min twice a year with your company. Please revisit your booking system. Receiving an email with your booking number does not mean you are booked under your new system! Johanna Sinclair

- Booking a ticket for a Youth from AUH to YOW, with no one to accompany him from Air France staff, consistently fails with an error. -Tried for two days till the price increased by ~100 CDN - Called the UAE service desk, they advised to book as an adult by entering an older birth date. Once done they will change from their side so no issues are encountered when checking in. - I managed to book as a student while on the call with Air France service desk. Once I provided the booking reference she said this is a shared coach and can NOT be corrected. But, she'll look into into it and call me back. - No calls received, but an email to cancel the ticket! - Called back and asked for a manager and insisted on it. I was quite direct and to the point. He asked to give him half an hour if no call back, I should cancel. - Luckily he called and confirmed the ticket verbally and via email. Please fix the website. Issue is consistent whether on UAE or Canadian Air France website. Yet it works flawlessly on KLM website. I found that out after the fact. As an IT professional with strong ties to the service industry, please fix the youth ticket booking process flow and train your representatives to rectify the issue instead of providing workarounds that are not well validated.

Issue booking

So, I when attempting to book my flight to Aalborg from Calgary I kept on running to issues at the payment screen. My outbound flight for my son and I was $1700(all prices are in Canadian) and the return flight was at around $2300. This issue happened 3 times until I decided I had enough and logged out and logged back in. When I logged back in I saw that the base price for my flight on my outbound leg went up by $9.00(no big deal) but the price on my return leg went up by $500.00. Not very impressed because I would have spent more money on upgrading to premium comfort since it is my sons first trip overseas and I want him to be comfortable.

No baggage pricing on the website

The fact that you don't have the baggage pricing on your website anywhere while many of your flights don't cover even 1st checked baggage. I had to go through the whole booking in order to get the pricing which was way more that what I was told!

The insurance section is not clear. I thought I had bought cancellation insurance and then there was no reference to it once the entire flight transaction was done. This prompted me to call customer service to ask about it, who directed me to Allianz, where I bought a plan only to find out a couple days later that the plan I bought with the flights did get purchased. So I had to cancel one of the plans. This was very confusing and wasted my time. There needs to be more clarity around when and how the purchased insurance will show up once the flight is booked. Otherwise, the flight section worked well.

Seat selection with a child

As we are traveling with a child, age 6 we are to be seated together with no extra charge however we can not able to select our seats in advance without being charged. Therefore we have to call in, which is time consuming. The age of the passenger is entered when providing the name, perhaps it would be ideal to adjust the seat selection options to suit our selection. Other airlines, such as Star Alliance and One World.

Air France was one of the last remaining airlines that one could expect to get a transparent price for a ticket. Unfortunately, the airline industry is going down a destructive path where all bad ideas are implemented by all. Pricing is deceitful, the food is not edible, if any is offered, and one never knows what is included or not (luggage or seat selection). Travelling has become a torture.

Excellent booking experience and web platform. Scheduling the flight was easy, with plenty of options. The only thing that was missing was the seat selection at no cost. I understand that there should be seats you can upgrade to, but there should be free seats assigned with the tickets. Other than that, the booking experience was excellent. Thank you

The site in English is very clear, but when I changed pages, it went back to French. It would be nice if we have to choose the language only once while we're navigating the website. Plus, I found it's not very clear where to click to change language.
