Good day,
We had our delivery of two ordered items today from your outsourced delivery company. It was expected between 09H00 and 15H00. The truck arrived at 15H40 while we on our way to an appointment, having waited for the extra 40 minutes. While walking to our car we noticed a truck parked in our vicinity and I asked the chap who was walking up our road if he was delivering for your company, Reuter. He said that he wasn't sure. I asked him where he was delivering to and he mentiond our address and I said to him that is our delivery. I then asked him what would have happened if we hadn't met him to which he relied, in German "mehr als Arbeiten kann ich nich". I then said, would you then have to come back to this address to deliver if we hadn't been there to receive the goods, he relied the same answer with the comment that his company makes delivery schedules that are impossible to keep. I then asked him if it would not be the courteous thing to do is phone us, the client, that he is running late to which he just turned around and walked away.
I find this kind of attitude inexcusable in today's competitive world and if he was one of my employees (of which I had over 500 in my last business) he would be instantly FIRED.
Your company's front end of the business is world class! Your team on the phone is friendly, patient and well trained on your products but to lose all that hard work to some poorly educated on manners - no, "I'm sorry that I am late" - nothing, person who thinks that we, the client, owe him something which was the impression my wife and I got.
