I'm a music lover, I still buy CDs and I listen to flac music at home or in mobility, thus I finally decided to buy a pair of headphones for my home listening. After reading lots of reviews and listening on YouTube to headphones sound demos — not the real headphones sound, but at least they tell you something on the sound signature —, I decided Beyerdynamic's one was my favourite sound signature! I preferred to buy some "flat" or close to flat headphones, to listen to music in the closet possible way to the original track, as I'm not fan of overwhelming bass sound. I don't own any thousand euro headphones amplifier, but with the USB DAC/Amp I have and the Yamaha A/V Receiver I have, I'm quite satisfied by the sound experience, so far. I had to perform a warmup test for the headphones, and after around 40 hours, I can say the sound's really good! On PC I'm using Peace equalizer with Beyerdynamic DT 990 profile. It's good and it avoids having voices too much sharp in my ears. If I have to find a weak point, is probably the voice peak, that without a proper equalization may result in being too harsh sometimes, after long listening sessions. But consider I'm not using a proper headphone amplifier, which I might buy soon, so things could change in positive in this respect. My rating is 9/10. I'm satisfied. I'm aware that spending more I could probably find better headphones, but considering my price range, the sound of my DT-990 Pro is so good for my ears! Oh, and about the materials and build quality, I'm very happy. This all black colour is just a thing of beauty for me! The ear pad cushions are soft and perfect for many hours of listening, without hurting my ears. The headband doesn't hurt and doesn't tighten too much on my head. And before I forget, another good thing I found in these Limited Edition Black, is that the cable is straight. It's way better for me, especially when I sit far away. I don't like so much coiled cables, to be honest. Clearly, in my opinion it would have been better to have a detachable cable, even balanced cables, but it's fine for now. Just in case I really need them, once the warranty is expired I could try modding them. Thanks to Beyerdynamic.

I placed an order without realising my address (on PayPal) hadn’t changed yet, as I have recently moved to another city. After contacting support, I was told that changing the address order was impossible. I then asked whether I could just simply cancel the order, which was also not possible, even though the order hadn’t been sent out yet. I was then also told to try to get DHL to change my delivery address, which – you guessed it – was also not possible. I get that it may be difficult to change an order that has already been processed or shipped to the courier service, but this all happened several days before I even got confirmation that DHL was going to ship my package. Now I’m stuck trying to get a hold of a package of which I have no idea who got it, in a place where I never come anymore. It’s just a massive waste of time and potentially money and could have simply been avoided by allowing me to cancel my initial order (that hadn’t even been shipped yet at that point).

Crackles in B-stock MMX 300. I bought a headset MMX 300 in B-stock for the price and the recycling... The product was supposed to be as-new (tested by Beyerdynamic and all) but there were crackles in the right ear. I had to pay to send it back so I lost 20€ to try a defective headset. Won't do it again.

I received the wrong headphone and now, to get the right one, I have to pay to send back my parcel (I'm from France). Why do I have to pay for your mistake? I was expecting a better client services, I'm really disapoint.

Beyerdynamic amiron wireless headset does not work well on the PC. it took me 45 minutes to connect it to my pc also the mic does not work in calls. you also can't change settings on the pc for the headset. for this price it's a really bad headset.

Suivre les commandes pour voir si elle est expédiée. Pour moi du 2 décembre au 17 décembre parés 5 ou 6 mails pour faire comprendre que ma commande n'avait pas bougé de chez vous. Pour le casque trop de pression autour des oreilles et le système de on off micro pas terrible. Le son est bon.

Aweful customer support that just ignored all proof that there had been a mistake in the price. The money (just 20€) is not the issue, but the maddening lack of interest to look into it by staff was appalling. I sent them all the proof they would need, but all they did was ignore it.

i bought a fox microphone which doesn't come with any driver and my pc can't recognize it. The assistance is not helping at all, basically I need to buy cubase or ableton to make it work. Ridicolous and especially it makes non sense the not support from the hel desk

It would help if you make changes to your customer service. DHL seems like a poor partner to your business. I must say I find simply restituting people for their money instead of making sure they get delivered what they order online a very poor service. First time delivery error was due to DHL bad performance, second time Beyer Dynamic failed to send the right amount of headphones even though the delivery note stated the right amount. To make a customer order the product 3 times is ridiculous in my opinion.

The product I received was good, but the service, not so much. I got the DT 770 pro, and there was a faulty button on the headband. I contacted service hotline, and they wanted me to fill in a lot of stuff, and it was very vague. I then just decided to refund the whole thing, and got it somewhere else. I was very disappointed since this was my very first (studio) headset.

got a pair of DT990pro, they turned out to have a problem so i sent them back. i got a new pair and they had the same exact problem (buzzing noise). if you want to shop here you have to be the lucky guy who manages to get the only working pair in the batch.

The replacement part for the most failure-prone part of DT 1990/1770 is not offered in the spare parts shop and not included in the affordable seesaw repair kit even though it houses those parts. Instead you're told to buy a 39€ slider repair kit which includes many uneeded parts. To be more specific, this part is just a couple of simple, fragile plastic housings with screwholes and yet all the tension and pressure from normal use goes in there. It almost as if the headphones are engineering to fail there and so you're forced to spend a ridiculous sum on simple plastic trinkets over and over. A lot of people are having similar issues and even turned to 3D printing.

Thank you for your feedback. The two spare parts you mentioned are different applications. The spare part SERVICE KIT SEESAW article number 916722 contains the inner mechanism of the slide. The spare part Slider repair kit article number 916484 is the complete slider, including outer parts, for repairing the headphones. I received my Blue Byrd (2nd Gen.) in-ear headphones yesterday. I had a really difficult time connecting them to the Bluetooth of my Linux PC. There is no guide for that, nor an application to configure the headphones. I noticed also that the photo next to the "pairing" chapter of the user manual is wrong. Finally, I was really disappointed to learn that I paid 129 € a week ago and yesterday's price was of 89 €.

Thank you for your input. About the online manual: we checked it and will correct the error. Of course the On/Off button is meant for the pairing process, as shown before on the picture where switching on and off is explained. We will update the PDF file on our website soon. (The Quick Start Guide as delivered with the product is correct.) For you detail question about the pairing. Pairing actually always works the same, regardless of the specific playback device: • Bring the headphones to the pairing mode • Switch on Bluetooth on the playback device. If applicable, delete an existing Bluetooth connection to other headphones and trigger the search for headphones ready to be paired. • Chose the “Blue Byrd (2nd gen.)” as the headphones in the Bluetooth menu of he playback device and have it paired. • (If all this doesn’t work please execute the following steps: o unpair existing headphones within the playback device and try again o delete the paired device list in the headphones and try again o make a factory reset of the headphones and try again ) For further question, we are happy to help you via help@beyerdynamic.com. I didn't receive the parcel. When the order was transferred between couriers, wrong and insufficient information was supplied. This led to the delivery going to the wrong address and the package was lost. When I informed Beyerdynamic that the wrong information had been supplied to the courier, pre-delivery, instead of trying to get in touch with the courier to rectify the delivery(or atleast start something) they said they could only take action once, and if the package was lost. Which means that at this point, if I want the headphones, I will have to wait for my refund, and make a fresh order and wait once again, hoping the courier gets the delivery correct this time. I'm frankly better off never ordering from them ever again. There's no value in buying directly from the manufacturer.
