You could have informed me initially the test would go to the U.K. and supplied the appropriate envelope. Also the slip where I was supposed to fill in my contact details was missing.

The outcome has been quite different from initial expectations. I have engaged in multiple interactions with the customer service team, seeking clarifications regarding the outcomes. Regrettably, I have yet to receive definitive steps to address my concerns. Presently, following my refund request, there has been no communication whatsoever. This situation is disheartening, particularly considering that individuals are shaping their dietary choices based on these results, relying on the credibility of Allergy Test. It has been nearly six weeks since my initial inquiry, and unfortunately, the confidence I initially placed in the company has been eroded. Given the circumstances, I find it challenging to endorse this company with any confidence.

More transparency

I think it should be more obvious on the website that even though you order the test on a .ie website, that the same and testing is actually done in the UK.

The customer care attention was horrible. It took me almost weeks to get my tracking information, then, once the package was here they sent a number. THey kept saying only someone had that information, gave me a really bad sensation of scam. I got the results and stopped eating what it said and my allergies did not change at all.

The general test is ok in red pack. The green pack the instructions in the box could be improved. Not simple to follow at all or have a QR code for a link to a video you have online. The tests are expensive and to not get it right is such a waste of money

I just question some of the findings in my test. For example I had no reaction whatsoever to grass or pollen and I suffer from hay fever.

Firstly the Lance for cutting my finger was awful! Cut was very painful for days .. even badly bruised my finger. Actually it's still a bit tender weeks later! Secondly results took far too long even though I paid extra for faster turn around. I had to email to ask where my results were, which were immediately sent to me almost like someone forgot to send them! 3rd... I do have symptoms of different food intolerance but your test says I don't other than two minor sensitivity to a hazel tree which I don't come in contact with! Waste of money as far as I'm concerned! I leaned nothing and still avoiding trigger foods! I wonder was my sample tested at all!?

3/10 caution recommended

How to start..... I got my results..eventually!! I was waiting nearly 7 weeks for my results which wouldn't have bothered me so much but for the utter incompetents of the 'get in touch' with us option!! To say it was poor would be an understatement!!! I was onto them for 3 weeks for an update and kept getting the same answer...'we have your sample,your results will be emailed to you in 3-5 days'... so frustrating and made me angry and stressed that it might be a scam!! This seriously needs to be addressed!!! If I was just told it would take the time it had I wouldn't have minded!! Such poor communication!! Would I recommend the service......yes,but with a heavy caution that you will be waiting a long time!!! I knew I had a few intolerances and the test confirmed it so for that I'm happy. It also brought some others to light. Overall the experience was OK... A 3/10 I'd say...

I think the results are flawed.

The foods listed as ‘severe’ allergies, I’ve been eating for years and they have absolutely no impact on my system. I think the test is a sham and simply goes with current trends. Ie gluten allergy, wheat allergy etc.

For the home kit, it lacks better and easier instructions on how to take the test and interpreting the results, there's no video or examples of how to do it. Even the help desk support wasn't able to help me with any questions regarding the same issues.

Regarding our testing each testing method is used for different purpose, it tests different sample and detects different markers. Our ELISA testing method allows for a measurement of the reaction between antibodies in the individual blood sample and the receptors on the test strip. When the sample is exposed to the testing strip reactions will only occur where it reacts with the specialised receptors and therefore produce a result. Where there is no reaction there are no antibodies present at that time. These reactions can then be measured in order to produce results which are presented in our reports. We understand that this result has not come back as you hoped, and we would advise never to go against the advice of a medical professional. Our testing is for raised IgE and IgG antibodies only, which is only one part of allergy and intolerance diagnosis. Patient history and clinical symptoms always take precedence over raised IgE and IgG as raised levels are not always indicative of symptoms. Allergies and intolerances can also be non-IgE or IgG mediated meaning that symptoms may present in the absence of raised levels. All information provided in reports produced is intended to support nutritional advice to optimize your diet. We do not claim or attempt to claim to diagnose medical conditions, or cure or treat medical conditions. If you wish to discuss your results further, you can send us an email.
