Having a custom-built 5m long sideboard in my lounge is one of the greatest things I've ever changed in my home - Pickawood's website is incredibly easy to use, delivered with great care, the supplied joins and fittings are of the highest quality, and the end result is an amazing unique look specific to your room. Attached photo so you can see just how good the Premium Decor Walnut looks. It's fascinating to see what was once a computer-generated image on your computer screen now in front of you in real life! Doors I selected have push-to-click mechanisms held shut with magnetic plates for them to hold closed, wasn't sure how they'd work before ordering but very impressed with the clean look, I know sideboards in a lounge are not too common and didn't want handles sticking out so happy with the result. Suggestions to Pickawood for easier assembly first time around, probably only applies to mine as I had so many similar parts to sort out: Slightly bigger codes on each individual component, the codes are so small I had to take a photo and zoom in to ensure I was holding the correct door/shelf. Clearly identify when more than one type of hinge is sent - the hinges for the middle doors and hinges for the outer doors are very similar - although it is stated in part of the instructions that more than one type exist, the diagram wasn't clear that it applied to my design and I didn't make sense of it until after I'd put them in the wrong places.

First, the assembly instructions are horrible. Tiny print and very poor labelling of pieces. We spent hours trying to figure out which part was which. Please number the parts! It's not hard and it makes life infinitely easier. Also, number the bolts and nuts. It's not always clear which is supposed to go where. And please show us more than one side of the furniture. There were pieces hidden from us because they were supposed to be behind in the 2d image. Second, the doors do not align properly. There are gaps between the doors and the frames and the gaps are uneven for all sides and all doors. Not great. The piece took many weeks to be ready, I expected a bit more. There are not many options for choosing on their website. That said, for a [pseudo-]bespoke piece of furniture, it's reasonably priced. The general quality of the object seems to be decent, it looks sturdy, seems generaly good and gets the job done. Only time will tell whether it was a good investment or not. Delivery was beautifully handled.
