Honestly when I first looked at travel companies, I wasn’t even sure if this was legitimate but after this experience, I hands down recommend working with this group. They were prompt with responses, flexible, and made my trip exactly what I needed. Anticipating things I didn’t even think of and accommodated all of my requests. The platform was easy to use, paid my deposit and as promised received my itinerary a week before travel with all of my intracountry flight information detailed with pick up times for all of my excursions. We did 12 days Vietnam: Flew to HCM/Saigon and explored the city while adjusting to the time change (skipped our cu chi tunnels and me Kong delta originally suggested). It made sense with two young kids to take it easy the first leg of the trip due to jet lag but HCM is lively with so much to see. Then very thoughtful driver got us from the hotel to the airport and checked us in, walked us all the way to security to confirm we got through (it was great). Upon arrival in Da Nang, super friendly driver got us in a private shuttle and shared tidbits about the area during our transport and got us to our resort in Hoi An. Instructed us on our next day plans and pick up after making sure our check in to the resort was seamless. The resort recommended was perfect - beachside, amazing food, intimate, with great staff. Excursions with our tour guide were smooth, enlightening and so much fun for the family. We biked, cooked with locals, saw rice paddies, learned about plants, got a massage, went to pagodas and our tour guide made sure we didn’t get swindled into buying inauthentic keepsakes. We had seamless travel arranged to Hanoi, wonderful hospitality at our hotel which they selected in Old Town Hanoi which made sense so we could maximize our time exploring there without having to worry about too much driving since we could walk out the front lobby and be right in the thick of it. The hotel in Hanoi was great and held our luggage so we could pack lightly for our 2 night 3 days on Ha Long Bay. Hands down recommend 2 nights in Ha Long Bay instead of 1 night because the full day gives you the opportunity to explore private beaches and boat to more remote areas. This was a trip of a lifetime for our small family, 2 school age kids and grandma were able to hike, bike, kayak and partake in all the activities. Would certainly go through this company again with future travels.

What an adventure we had on our 10 day Ugandan tour. The organisation was impressively smooth and entirely tailored to our requirements. One of our party lives in Uganda so we had some idea of what we wanted to do. The local expert, Diane, took this outline and ran with it to put together a brilliant tour, making adjustments to enrich the trip, selecting fabulous places for us to stay and suggesting activities to add along the route. We were provided with pre trip information to help us to prepare & when I had a visa question Diane contacted immigration directly & got back to me on the same day. Once we got to Uganda the whole trip was executed seamlessly from start to finish. Our guide, Martin, was an absolute treasure, so incredibly knowledgeable & very easy company. We bombarded him with questions on a broad range of subjects; wildlife, culture, history, politics, family, tradition, village life, schooling etc the list goes on. Having modestly professed to being ‘not bad’ at bird identification he proceeded to identify pretty much everything that we saw. He was completely unfazed by anything we threw at him and happy to accommodate our requests to make small changes along the way. He adapted our plans on the fly several times based on interests we expressed whilst chatting, for example to take a detour through the tea plantations. On an organised trek, or on a game drive you inevitable come across other tourists where the wildlife action is as the guides share this information, but apart from this I feel like we spent the majority of our time away from any crowds. I’m a bit blown away to be honest. Chigo delivered a richly varied & seamlessly executed trip, adapting along the way to meet our every need. The trip exceeded my expectations and the memories will live with me for a long time. 5 star for sure.

We were very pleased with the service TraveLocal provided, putting together a bespoke tailored tour of Jordan at a very reasonable price. They even amended their first proposal as I wasn’t happy with one of the activities proposed and came up with an alternative. Also whilst in Jordan their local contact provided some on the ground assistance with flights (even though we hadn’t booked these with them) when major security issues arose between Israel and Iran causing flight chaos. The tour included all meals at hotels we stayed at which was useful. We used local guides in Jerash and Petra - they were both good English speakers and very knowledgeable about their subject. Our driver in Jordan was Amin. He drove for us on all 7 days of our tour, showing great driving skills to negotiate the Jordan traffic and roads. He spoke good English and his local experience and knowledge was invaluable in making our holiday even more memorable for us. Amin was very friendly and approachable always happy to help whenever we needed it, such as providing (especially useful) Arabic translation services. He even took time to show (and buy!) us local street food on our days out which was really appreciated!

Emanuela Grieco designed our 10 day self-driving tour around Iceland. (April 27, 2024 through May 6, 2024) It was a busy 10 days but lots of fun. And every meal we had was great. Everything Emanuela arranged for us - hotels, dinner suggestions, hiking, whale watching, horse back riding on the beach, etc. were all great and we were expected and welcomed everywhere. Some highlights in no particular order: The walking food tour in Reykjavik was great. Our rental Jeep Renegade arranged by Emanueal came with a Vodafone wireless hotspot. That was super convenient. Whale watching, Zodiak boat tour on a glacial lake with icebergs, and horseback riding on the black sand beach were all great. Walking behind the Seljalandsfoss waterfall was truly unique! Emanuela had dozens and dozens of suggestions on where to eat, cool waterfalls, quirky activities, etc! All in all, thanks for such a well planned trip with so many great hiking and food suggestions! I'm sure there's more stuff that I forgot. But suffice to say, we would highly recommend Emanuela and her company! (And Iceland is freaking spectacular!)

We knew where we wanted to go and had an idea of the sites we wanted to see. Using this service made it easy to fill out a complete itinerary that was full of fun and interesting things to do. The guides were excellent. Tracy met us at the airport in Beijing and took care of every detail. She worked with us to modify our agenda when needed and helped us every step of the process. She was concerned about us all the way through the handoff to the next guide in Xi’An. Justin met us at the Xi’An train station and showed us very interesting sites. We were amazed at the knowledge of our guides and their ability to get us to the best spots with ease. They made our trip fun, educational, and easy. We had no worries and felt like we were being hosted by friends. I would recommend asking for Tracy in Beijing and Justin in Xi’An if you get the opportunity. You won’t be disappointed - in fact you will be surprised every day!

Monique, who was filling in for Luis, did a great job setting up our trip and listening to what we wanted to do. When we did have an issue with a particular Casa, Yunior, in Cuba, was reachable and responsive. We did not end up agreeing on the suitability of the Casa in question so we did not get a refund for that night but we solved the problem ourselves by finding our own place (an extra $25 per night seemed reasonable to us). In fairness the Casa MiCuba picked was fine but the location was terrible: out of the way, dirty area with no restaurants nearby. It was great trip and the details, travel plans, tours etc arranged by the company were great. Not fancy but we felt we got to interact with the Cuban people. I love that Monique told us it would be fine to bring items to give away. We brought everything from toothbrushes to Tylenol to baseball caps. All much appreciated.

I love the fact that you get connected with local travel agencies around the world. It makes it much easier when you reach your destination to keep in touch with them. Very easy planning experience and secure payment process. I used it to plan my trip to an Argentina and it exceeded my expectations! Everything was flawless! I will definitely use TravelLocal again instead of wasting my time to make my own research without really knowing what to look for. You set your budget, you get connected to the travel agency in your destination of choice, and they set up a plan for you based on your budget and requests. They are flexible and very responsive. I got connected to Andrea from Terra Argentina and she was awesome! My only wish is to have them come out with an app. It will be easier in my opinion. I highly recommend TravelLocal.

Four of us booked a private 3-week trip with TravelLocal for Egypt and Jordan. Highly recommend TravelLocal; everything was top-notch. Mohamed on the sales side was excellent; promptly answered all our questions during the planning phase. Our tour guides from Memphis Tours were super knowledgeable and so welcoming and fun. Plus our drivers were super competent (driving is especially challenging in Cairo and much of Egypt). And all the folks who handled arrangements at the airports were always on time and zoomed us through airport check-ins. Wonderful trip; kudos to TravelLocal! They thought of everything so we could relax and enjoy their wonderful country(s). Thank you!

I enjoyed my travel in Spain and Portugal via Travel Local as the service was efficient and professional. I enjoyed liaising with the local contacts in Spain and Portugal and planning my itinerary. The experience that was curated for me was exactly what I wanted: art, history, interesting architecture, different landscapes. I am also a cook and a foodie so it was great to be given time to visit markets, do cooking classes and eat in amazing local places. I like that no time was wasted. There were activities everyday but also enough free time to explore on my own. So I would recommend using Travel Local if you want to customise your experience.

We like that Memphis Tours-Travel Local works provides all the information necessary and does the booking of hotels and flights while in Egypt. Then one is met with a Tour Leader at the airport, and that person is ones contact person throughout ones stay in Egypt. Then one has a guide and driver that work as a team for the northern portion of the trip. Once on the cruise portion of the trip one is assigned another guide and a small group of around 10-15 people that tour together. This allows for connections and continuity of the story-telling by the guides.

Amazing service. Everything was made super easy and streamline in the holiday. The itinerary they put together was perfect. Lots of things we wouldn’t have done on our own. Having a WhatsApp chat with 2 reps on holiday to answer last minute questions or confirm pickup times is an added bonus to keep it stress free. Can’t fault the service and will be using again. Perfect holiday (lucky with weather also helps). Would highly recommended using this service, especially for holidays in Vietnam or close by.

Very simple. Filling in simple initial request form Travel Local put us in touch with a very responsive, trustworthy, reliable and reputable travel agent in Morocco, Atlas Outdoor. It meant we had a wonderful trouble free holiday with no problems - language, money, comfort, safety so would highly recommend TravelLocal if heading to a destination where you have no previous experience. Also works with a strong ethic of sustainable travel, supporting the local community and culture.

We have used TravelLocal 3 times now over the last 5 years - a month n Sri Lanka, a month in India and a month in Vietnam. All have been great. Lonely Planet is our bible so we are pretty clear on our itinerary and accommodation requirements and to have had it all stitched together seamlessly with a fabulous driver and great additions on the back of understanding our interests is so appreciated. Lots of moving parts on trip through Colonial Mexico (many sites, active itinerary, internal flights and a fair amount of driving), all of which were well organized and executed. On a trip like this, you encounter unanticipated issues, all of which were handled responsively and efficiently by Ivana, who we would highly recommend. Descriptions of tours could be improved, so the traveler can be better prepared (like, knowing there would be hiking and swimming on certain tours).

TravelLocal was amazing! We normally travel pretty low budget and backpack style but we wanted something more for our leg to the Galapagos and discovered TravelLocal. Well, they blew us away with an amazing trip to Ecuador, but we will definitely look to using them to book future trips! There is always that anxiety of finding and trusting something online but we did and we had nothing but a great experience doing so. We would 100% recommend TravelLocal to friends and family.
