I've always trusted and enjoyed shopping with gardens4you. Plant quality is good with a speedy delivery. Recently though I received a delivery where the plants just shouldn't have been sent out, after my initial disappointment, decided to wait to see if they would make a comeback which they didn't, that was when I decided to contact customer service. They responded very quickly, just asked me to send a photo as evidence and they would then replace the order if they still had them in stock or refund me, I was more than happy with that response so all good. Easy to deal with this company even if you experience a problem. 👍
In a nutshell: two out of four plants I received were diseased (the other two are in quarantine waiting to see if they are also diseased) and customer service was rude and argumentive when I tried to ask for my money back (which I did after I had to threaten legal action and lateral flow tests to prove the diseased status of the plants, why is it always a battle?). The customer service in question replied from the UK, the plants came from the Netherlands, I ordered from gardens4you (dot) ie.
To get a response from The UK was bizarre as it's through an IE website and I will certainly be reporting gardens4you for using an IE website to "weare" (dot) ie and the relevant authorities for abusing Irish internet infrastructure and cyberspace.
I am also calling out the nursery (ies?) in the Netherlands for their obvious poor care of plants and the many holes in gardens4you in general's Standard Operating Procedures and Policies I can immediately digress from my experience.
I tried to bring this to their attention and resolve the dispute quietly but after the experience with the UK customer service and no response from Melvin Jansen who I tried to contact I am now bringing this to the public's attention.
Save your money DO NOT buy with Gardens4you, buy local or nationally (most local/national stores are happy to order more exotic plants for you), and support the Irish economy. We as an Irish customer base deserve better than the poor service from the Netherlands and rude customer service from The UK.
I thought I had bought a plant but they cancelled the order without even notifying me. They also refunded an amount less then what I paid. Tried calling them but no answer. Disgraceful

As informed by mail and Unfortunately since the Brexit it is no longer possible to ship our products to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, no order can be place on the website for those destination. The order has been cancelled and refund the same day

Scam!
This company have a 100% guarantee email, which they send after you order. It is a total scam. I complained about my plants arriving smashed and was completely ignored. They then cancelled the rest of my orders with no explanation or reason. When I enquired, they accused me of being aggressive. Terrible company.

Rude, unprofessional, and totally incompetent; the worst customer experience I've ever had - I emailed them to ask what was happening with my order, as they had sent a tracking link which didn't work. I received a blunt, garbled email informing me that my order had been dispatched to the wrong country. This was 6 days after I'd placed the order and the day before my mother's birthday. When I said I was disappointed, I received the rudest email I've ever had from a customer service team, which also didn't accept any accountability.

Your package was mistakenly directed to Germany by dpd the carrier which we regret. In the meantime you have been reimbursed and the package was later delivered to Ireland. We do not read any rudeness in our emails, you have been appalling with our customer service in your tone and form since your first email. Our responses are below:

Despite your disappointment this error has nothing to do with our company the package was sent to Germany by dpd (loading error) we had printed on the package the correct address.
We ship to 22 countries in Europe, everything is automated our customer service does not follow the thousands of packages shipped every day, it is impossible, we give each customer the possibility to track their package in real time.
The refund is in process.

Not delivered to correct address, completely different postcode. Had to chase down and couldn't find and got redelivered by recipient which it was wrongly delivered to. Also looks nothing like picture shown, not one rose in bloom which I think should be mentioned before buying

it is with regret that we learn of dpd's delivery error. If you had informed us we could have sent the driver to collect the package and deliver it to you. Our plants are all grown outside all year round
The pictures on our site always show the mature product, our plants are grown outside it is -2ºC in the morning we offer 2 months of growth on all our products.

We have contacted you by automatic email because the address provided was incorrect and without Eircode. Without response from you the order was automatically canceled about 5 days and refunded another automatic email confirmed the refund, thank you to check spam and trash more frequently.

It would have been 5 stars as the plants arrived healthy, but I chose an Irish site to support Irish business and found out during the shipping process that they aren't in Ireland at all. Overseas companies shouldn't be allowed to have .ie websites.

Arrived quickly, plants were in good order, well packaged inside the box so not to get damaged. Delivery was punctual. The box itself could do with another bit of sellotape. Thank you very much!

Great plants but could do much better at packaging them for delivery. Plants arrived some looking more worse for wear than others. They have survived but have been slightly damaged.
