-Sound:
The lows are full and rich, bass is strong without thumping or booming.
The highs could be a bit crisper, especially voices (in music) sound a bit muffled almost.
Mids seem to lack a bit too.
Volume: my 64 ohm Sennheiser doesn't play as loud as I want so I chose the 32 ohm version of the DT770 Pro for more volume (less resistance). And also because I want to be able to use it with my cell phone on a decent volume.
The DT770 Pro 32 ohm seems to offer a bit more volume but not a whole lot more. I had expected it to go louder than it does.
So an improvement just not a huge one.
-Comfort: fit on the head is good, I don't get the feeling the set wil slip off my (bald) head. The pressure on the ears/head is exactly right: not too loose not too tight.
The size of the earpads is where it all goes wrong. I am by no means Dumbo the flying elephant but the earpads on the DT770 Pro are way too small for my ears. I really have to stuff my ears into the earpads with my fingers.
Had I tried these earphones on in a shop I would not have bought them, for that reason alone.
All in all a pretty good set for listening to music. Especially with psybient and other electronic music (with no singing). The lows of these headphones seem to be made for those genres of music, amost.
If you mainly play songs with voices/singing there are better choices out there.

I placed an order without realising my address (on PayPal) hadn’t changed yet, as I have recently moved to another city. After contacting support, I was told that changing the address order was impossible. I then asked whether I could just simply cancel the order, which was also not possible, even though the order hadn’t been sent out yet. I was then also told to try to get DHL to change my delivery address, which – you guessed it – was also not possible. I get that it may be difficult to change an order that has already been processed or shipped to the courier service, but this all happened several days before I even got confirmation that DHL was going to ship my package. Now I’m stuck trying to get a hold of a package of which I have no idea who got it, in a place where I never come anymore. It’s just a massive waste of time and potentially money and could have simply been avoided by allowing me to cancel my initial order (that hadn’t even been shipped yet at that point).

I was a little worried by purchasing a b-stock headset, but the headset arrived in like-new condition. The sound quality of the DT 880 is extraordinary; I have never had such a revealing and balanced headphone.
The order process is super easy, immediate shipping. Only the DHL service leaves something to be desired, but that's not Beyerdynamic's fault.

Amazing product, I always trust Beyerdynamic when it comes to headphones. I have 2 studio headphones and a gaming headset and they all are great quality sounding and very comfortable to wear. Their website also is very good and adapted to mobile users. Delivery is fast and packaging is clean and secured. Applauses to Beyerdynamic !

Shipping was fast and without problems, almost Amazon level fast. Which is really good especially during festivities.
The product itself is amazing. I'm discovering sounds that didn't know existed in some songs. Having this amount of bass while also maintaining crisp clear mids and highs, you truly get what you pay for.
The build quality is top notch, like you can feel the quality both on the sound and when you touch the headphones.
One surprising thing that I discovered is that, compared to my previous Sennheiser HD560s, the high frequency sound doesn't bother me anymore.
For example, when I was watching movies/podcast/games etc every word that contained the letter "S" would like scratch on my eardrums. It would get painful after a while or when I was very tired. But I have no problem with the DT 1990 Pro, which is strange because I read online that those headphones are quite sharp and energetic on the high frequencies.
Anyway, there are lots of good stuff but a few negatives:
They cans are definitely not comfortable on day one, the clamp on the ears needs a few days to get to good comfort levels.
And they are a smidge too heavy or maybe I'm just used to very light headphones
Definitely would recommend.

Just got my DT 880 PRO yesterday. Man.... they are perfect :)
At first I thought they were too bright with the lack of bass, but after a number of tracks I realized that it depends on the track. The sound quality, the balance - perfect. And comfort... I just put them on and forget about them being on me. I'm very glad that I chose this model. So, if you are looking for an (semi-)open option for monitoring and listening to music for a good price... you know what I mean.
