Tried Ifixit kit for the First time to replace my MacBook battery. Honestly the Kit made an extremely difficult repair easy. I wouldn’t have attempted it without the Kit. It is a must for anyone attempting this kit of repair!! Also with the Black Friday deal to get my little Travel Kit as-well awesome free postage as well. We’ll worth every penny. Only complaint with the whole experience was the delivery tracker function on postage didn’t work for me, so I wasn’t sure when or even if it would arrive however 2 days after order I came home from work to see it there. All round happy out and my MacBook has a new lease on Life.:)

Lack of communication
On Saturday 24th September I ordered a precision tool kit through their website. As of today 5th of October I have not received the product.
There is an option to track the order on the confirmation email but the status of this never changes.
I emailed the supplier this morning and I am still waiting for a reply.

iFixit battery for iPhone 8
Delivery was great, battery works fine but is not as good as the original one from Apple. The capacity of the new battery is comparable to that of my old one with 80% capacity.

Great choice in tools, but shipping can be an issue.
Plus: Great choices in tools we can't find elsewhere that easy.
Improvement point: more shipping choices would be a good addition. Offering only DHL and FedEx is simply not enough. DHL has a bad reputation in many regions of Europe. FedEx seems to have trouble too lately. So please add a couple of others too. Depending on the region customers can select their best option themselves. Personally UPS or GLS do a better job in my region.

Great product quality but poor delivery service by DHL
The toolbox is of great quality, as it is usually the case with iFixit products. The reason for giving only 4 stars is the DHL service in Spain. Not only the total delivery time was 8 days (instead of 3-4 days when I order for a delivery in France) but also the delivery address was not fully given to the driver (missing floor+door number) which further delayed the delivery by 24 hours.

Can you fix an iFixit product
Owning iFixit Mako bit set for a while and some of them are worn now. So I was happy to fund out that they are selling replacements. Price is not right however 1.49€ per bit. They are selling whole set for 40€. So to replace each bit would cost about 96€. Sadly they're doing the same as mobile producers and favoring the consumer to buy a new product than to fix what's not working.

Apple Pay overrides address, utf-8 address, phone number
Apple Pay overrides the address entered by the user. Expect issues with other customers, since this change is hidden and final. It is very important to support utf-8: address form, shipping label, data sent to carrier, to ensure the address is processed correctly. My address was printed incorrectly, see the attached image. Remember to add a text field for a phone number.
