The fit and finish of the product is very nice. Instructions provided in English (for customers in the UK), instead of the German provided, would be immensely helpful.

The ordered bookshelf was delivered within the promised deadline, is very well made and the installation instructions and supported material are excellent.

It is always a little worrying dealing with a company for the first time especially when one is spending over £2000.00 unseen. No need to worry, from the first contact e-mail, the ability to make minor changes, the regular updates and the superb Pickawood installation service (thank you Wojciech) this was so easy from start to finish. I now have a run of superb fitted bookcases replacing piles of books scattered around my home and I am absolutely delighted,

The website is great at enabling you to create your own design and the product is really high quality. communications were generally good, but there were times when they could have been better e.g. I booked an online chat as I had a particularly difficult order (bookshelves to be installed at height) and was left waiting for 20minutes before someone arrived so I did not know if it was going ahead or not and communications around delivery times and installation could also have been better. Overall though, I am really pleased with the shelves and Pickawood were really helpful in ensuring the measurements were accurate so I would get exactly what I wanted.

Could have been 5 stars for it not for the delivery. Nowhere on pickawood website does it say U.K. delivery won’t carry goods up past 2 floor. The delivery subcontractor isn’t great (they were tardy with limited communication, the operations center was clueless)… it’s a real shame. Would I order products again yes, if they change their delivery partner. Otherwise product is decent but not worth the pain of delivery

The web interface for configuring furniture is easy to use. Huge choice of high-quality materials. Fast help with questions via email. Furniture is of top quality.

Very professional service and great communications. Online Website for ordering and making a bespoke product was super good and easy. Ultimately though, it is still a piece of flat pack furniture. Whether its from Ikea or Pickawood. So there is a tiny risk, if doing it yourself (and you are not mega experience or skilled). Im generally ok, but still found that it wasnt 100% snugly fitted together everywhere (no doubt my fault, but that's ultimately the risk unless you are paying the £300 for someone to assemble it for you). I did also find that attaching the doors to my unit that all four screws ended up threading their respective holes that I had to plug and fix myself. Whilst this could have been my fault... for me to balls it up 4 times, seems unlikely, and Im leaning towards the screw fittings not being perfect (or the instructions unclear). Overall, still happy, and it is decent quality (and a lot better than "flat pack") but I'm just not certain it represented total value for money.

Online designer is a dream to use. Prices very high but worth it for our case which needed items to be an exact size. Quoted delivery times very long but slightly bettered in reality. Packaged very good BUT not perfect; we ordered four items and it was not possible to tell what-goes-where without opening everything and laying it out. Instructions a nightmare; generic pamphlet and poor drawing of my units not good enough. Took a lot of figuring out before we started. This, coupled with ridiculously small labelling of each part made for a sticky start, but all good in the end. There were not enough fittings for some items so we had to sub-equip a couple of places (rear facing kick boards). Personally I hated the main fitting; almost all of them were damaged by me as I tightened them; it won't make a difference in-life, but not nice to work with. I designed one of the items without a base and I think this contributed to it being very wobbly once built. It would have been totally unacceptable if it were not for the fact that it fits inside an existing fitted wardrobe. Surface finish very good. Items very heavy which sounds like they should be robust, but I'm not sure that the fittings will serve well over expected life of units. End result good in the eyes of the users so I guess it's a win. Will not order again unless I need specific size.

Process is extremely slow to say the least. I accept it's a one-off manufacturing process, but it's still a long time from ordering to receipt. My only issue - and it's a small one - is visible fixings when completed. Please see attached photographs. The base shelf could have been manufactured with the camloc fasteners inserted from the underside instead of the top, leaving the visible shelf clear. The camloc fasteners at the top of the side panels could have had some sort of clip-in plastic covers just to hide them a little. Small touches, but when you are paying this amount of money for something, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the extra detail.

We ordered a new low level bookcase-cum-sideboard (and two small side tables) from Pickawood for our new home. Whilst it took about 11 weeks to arrive, when it did it was well packed and delivered: all the components survived unscathed from Hamburg to Manchester. The assembly instructions are a bit generic, but if putting a flatpack furniture cabinet together doesn't scare you, (think big blue and yellow shed,) you'll be able to work it out/do it. The product itself is basically upmarket flatpack furniture; yes it costs considerably more as a consequence, but it is much better quality & bespoke to you. If needed to, it could move house with you and survive. As the picture demonstrates, our only problem is that the bookcase wasn't big enough to contain all the stuff we bought with us! Would order stuff again from Pickawood.

The quality of the used materials and the sizing is excellent. The mounted cabinet is beautiful and of high quality There was a minor problem with the execution of a special request. Luckily it was at the back of the closet and i could correct it myself. The amount of packaging is enormous. Everything is double packed to prevent transport damage. Lots of cardboard and plastic wrap takes a lot of time and effort to remove. This is of course due to the fact that every part is bespoke so there is no standard packaging available. I read some earlier comments about the mounting instructions not being specialy made for your bespoke product. Pickawood includes a drawing of your product with partnumbers. The parts are stickered with these numbers. In comination with the instruction this works beautifully.

Great communication and updates on the order. Beautifully crafted bespoke product, very easy and straight forward to assemble. The design process on their website was excellent too. Would happily buy from Pickawood again.

Slightly later than anticipated due to Xmas holidays but well worth it. Top quality and great delivery comms.

Loved designing the unit - there's so many controls and we got it exactly how we wanted it, down to every last possibly measurement. Took a while to arrive, but on the low end of the estimated delivery window. Constructing it was actually a lot easier than we'd feared (it was a lot of boxes and a fairly daunting diagram, but made sense when you got down to it) and are so pleased with the result. If there was one thing that could be improved it was only that the numbers printed on the labels on each individual piece could have been a bit bigger as they were a little hard to read and hard to check against the very small labels on the build diagram.

Excellent quality product and service. The only thing I can think of that you could do better is make the schedule tracker more accurate; i.e. update it weekly with the estimated number of weeks to delivery.

I'm delighted with the items received. Much better quality than the usual "flat pack" furniture. My only concern was surrounding the delivery which was not a great experience. The company that they used were pretty unreliable. However, the units themselves are great and have alleviated my storage problems. Many thanks
