P7A Pro is a very impressive piece of software, and it is also extremely good value. With it you can quickly sketch out a simple building, and you can then dive into the very extensive menu options to customise almost every aspect of your building and fit it out with a wide range of prebuilt 3D objects. It can take a while to get to know the menu system, so if you don\'t immediately find what you\'re looking for, just keep exploring!

I’ve been on the Pro version for 4 months and felt it was finally time to drop a review because the progress is insane. Seriously, the new tutorials since January are a total game-changer – they clearly listened to the feedback and fixed all the old issues. Also, the latest update that lets you pick imperial or metric during install (or even keep both!) has made my life so much easier. Huge thanks to the team for actually listening to us!

I've been using the program for 3 days now and have found it very easy to use. My main reason for buying it was to plan a renovation of a 100-year-old house. The package is very comprehensive; therefore, I haven't even seen all the intricacies and details yet. But I was able to digitize the house and now have a basis for further planning. From my perspective so far, the program is definitely very good, extremely helpful, and absolutely worth the price.

I’ve been using Revit and AutoCAD for around 14 years, and I still test other architecture software every now and then. What stood out to me right away here was the price, especially the fact that it’s a one-time purchase. With the amount of features included, I genuinely expected something like this to cost significantly more. I like it so far.

Overall very satisfied. The training videos are great and easy to understand. The PDF manual is highly detailed. I tested other programs before that didn't have any of this. Because of that, I’m 10 times more satisfied here and will definitely keep the program.

I’m an architect and have been in the business for 35 years. I like testing new software in our field from time to time, and I came across Plan7 Pro on Facebook, which made me curious. For the price, the software is truly unbeatable in its area of architecture — there’s hardly anything comparable that offers this level of functionality for such a low cost. There are a few small points I’m not fully satisfied with yet, but overall it seems to be a very solid tool in the right hands.

best option on the market for private home builders

I’ve got about 36 years of experience with AutoCAD and SketchUp, and I have to say — Plan7 Pro really impressed me. For a one-time price like this, there’s honestly nothing to complain about. Of course, you shouldn’t compare it directly to the super-expensive professional tools — that wouldn’t be fair, and it’s not aimed at the same audience anyway. But the Pro version can handle all the important architectural tasks you’d expect from much pricier software. Nothing essential is missing, and in my opinion, it’s the best option on the market for private home builders.

I already had Parallels on my MacBook Pro and was able to install Plan7 Pro using it. It works very well. I had to increase the screen resolution so that the program would display at a normal size. I created three versions of a renovation plan for our garage and sent them to my architect. He was able to open the files with AutoCAD.

I cannot fault this product - having been a CAD user for eons, Plan7 brings all the essential elements of design together in a single, click and draw, intuitive package. Backed with excellent tutorials, the transition to Plan7 is less challenging than I imagined it would be. Whether you are a novice, or a seasoned professional, the package is easy to use, packed full of extras and best of all, no hidden costs. HIghly recommended.

Unbeatable Value

The price/performance ratio is unbeatable. I export my models as *.3ds files into Lumion and the visual quality looks fantastic — great for client presentations. I’ve worked with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Chief Architect, and a few others over the years, but this has quickly become my favorite tool. Once you watch the tutorials (took me about an hour), everything clicks, and you can produce results way faster than in the bigger, more complicated programs.

I installed it on my MacBook

I installed the program on my MacBook Pro 2025 using UTM, and it runs very well and quite easily. There is a video tutorial for the installation, and it’s very well made. The 3D navigation takes a bit of getting used to, but otherwise I really like the program. It has everything I need, and the tutorials are short and easy to follow, which I appreciate. A dark mode would be great — I prefer working in the dark. I hope this will be added in a future update.

If you’re willing to sit down for an hour or two and watch the tutorial videos to learn how everything works, you’re gonna love this program. You’ll start playing around with different layouts, trying out ideas, tweaking things, and in the end you’ll be able to put together real construction plans with all the details and export everything professionally.

I have 25 years of experience with AutoCAD and Revit, but when I saw the price of Plan7Architect, I decided to buy it immediately. So far, everything is working very well and it gives a very professional impression. If everything continues to work out as expected, I’ll be extremely happy to have found such a capable alternative at this price.

Good value for the price. I like that it is a one-time payment and not a subscription. The software helped me visualize my renovation much better than sketches on paper.

So far so good. I am an AutoCAD user, so there is some learning and unlearning to do, but I think it will meet my needs. The software has many small advantages compared to AutoCAD, and of course AutoCAD is also around 30 times more expensive. Overall, I am very satisfied so far and can recommend that anyone give it a try — and if it doesn’t fit, there is a 14-day refund policy

I am a retired architect in the UK and have worked with various architectural software programs over the past 20 years, including AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp. I have to say that Plan7Architect is a truly powerful piece of software and perfectly suited for UK building standards. The units can be easily switched to meters, and it’s possible to switch at any time between feet, inches, meters, and centimeters. I’ve also tested it with larger projects — buildings with more than 10 floors and extensions — and the program runs smoothly without any issues. Sections, elevations, detailed annotations, hatching, and floor plan views for each level — all of this complies with common building standards and can be easily used further in professional workflows.

Great software for homeowners. I was able to plan my extension, adjust the room sizes and export the plans as a PDF for discussion with my contractor.

I’m a recent graduate with an associate degree in drafting and design and some Revit experience. I’ve been using plan7 for about 5 months now and already completed several residential plan sets. One of them was submitted in Travis County, TX and approved without any issues. For the price, it does exactly what I need.

I live in Ontario and bought Plan 7 architect Pro to plan our cottage renovation. The program handles imperial and metric perfectly, so I can switch depending on what our builder prefers. I drew every floor myself, added furniture, and exported to PDF for our contractor — no issues with Canadian building dimensions. The 3D walkthrough made it easy to visualize where to place big windows for lake views. Excellent value for homeowners here in Canada.
