Great listeners that provided the expert advice for our first trip to the region. Recommended hot spots that were most valuable to explore and enjoy for our time frame. We never felt rushed or tired as activities were well thought out giving us relaxing time to rejuvenate.

The experience during our vacation to Egypt was a once in a life time dream come true. However our experience with the lust of tipping people that assisted us was outrageous. We understand that some countries rely on tourism to help their people. That doesn’t mean that we are obligated to pay your staff their salaries by mandatory tips. We understand the cost of living in other countries, but that doesn’t mean that tourists are obliged to tip according to your standards.

A tailor made, customer oriented approach which provded an individual tour programme according to my needs, preferences combined with a dedicated guide was a particular asset during the Tansania trip.

The quality of the services provided, from the hotels, the guides, and the drivers, were exceptional. I would suggest that the payment system be addressed to allow individual members in a travel group pay under their own account instead of the main contact receiving the full invoice for the group. This was straightened out in the end but not before a few rounds of e-mails.

Travel local organised a 18 day personalised trip through China. All hotels were superb with seamless transition in and out. Our guides and drivers spoke excellent English and were very knowledgeable in the areas travelled. The guides were very helpful with things like - Reading menus for us, Mailing things home, Shopping and a myriad of other situations. All vehicles were of a very high standard and was basically a door to door service and went smooth as it could have been - not one hiccup.

Travel local put together a great itinerary for our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia, working with us to customise it to our specific requirements. Their team were easy to communicate with and supported us well during the tour.

My Mongolian trip exceeded my dreams! Burnee, the in country partner is fantastic, efficient, and provides very well researched experiences. I trust her with my life, my dreams, and my money. If you are working with Burnee, you are lucky, and you will have an amazing trip. Having said this, TravelLocal needs to be more transparent, as the lack of information provided prior to paying can easily be seen as a red flag about a potential scam. There feels like very little company support, and limited contact options. My experience is extremely positive in Mongolia, but that is due to the professionalism of Burnee. I highly recommend that TravelLocal offers more information a to potential clients prior to payment. Currently that is when a great deal of info about who exactly you are working with is available. When money has been spent, and possibly when passport information shared. In these cynical times, offering such things to a relatively unknown platform that could be an AI bot as easily as a person, is unappealing. I very nearly walked away from this trip for this reason. I did not, and had a perfect trip, but sincerely believe it is due to Burnee.

The smoothest and most fulfilling tour. We were looked after so well by the two guides Ayoub and Abdulah in Morocco. Everything was flexible but well planned out and nothing was too much trouble for the guys. We even squeezed in extra things to see like the film studios in Ouarzazate and more breath taking views along the way.

We planned a trip to Switzerland, having no experience on how the country was laid out, we worked with travel local and gave him a big list of our must-haves on vacation, king size beds, rooms with AC and a list of all the activities we wanted to do. Our guide he crafted essay itinerary, the checked all the boxes and made it very easy to travel around the country.

Information and updates were provided in a timely manner.

Honestly when I first looked at travel companies, I wasn’t even sure if this was legitimate but after this experience, I hands down recommend working with this group. They were prompt with responses, flexible, and made my trip exactly what I needed. Anticipating things I didn’t even think of and accommodated all of my requests. The platform was easy to use, paid my deposit and as promised received my itinerary a week before travel with all of my intracountry flight information detailed with pick up times for all of my excursions. We did 12 days Vietnam: Flew to HCM/Saigon and explored the city while adjusting to the time change (skipped our cu chi tunnels and me Kong delta originally suggested). It made sense with two young kids to take it easy the first leg of the trip due to jet lag but HCM is lively with so much to see. Then very thoughtful driver got us from the hotel to the airport and checked us in, walked us all the way to security to confirm we got through (it was great). Upon arrival in Da Nang, super friendly driver got us in a private shuttle and shared tidbits about the area during our transport and got us to our resort in Hoi An. Instructed us on our next day plans and pick up after making sure our check in to the resort was seamless. The resort recommended was perfect - beachside, amazing food, intimate, with great staff. Excursions with our tour guide were smooth, enlightening and so much fun for the family. We biked, cooked with locals, saw rice paddies, learned about plants, got a massage, went to pagodas and our tour guide made sure we didn’t get swindled into buying inauthentic keepsakes. We had seamless travel arranged to Hanoi, wonderful hospitality at our hotel which they selected in Old Town Hanoi which made sense so we could maximize our time exploring there without having to worry about too much driving since we could walk out the front lobby and be right in the thick of it. The hotel in Hanoi was great and held our luggage so we could pack lightly for our 2 night 3 days on Ha Long Bay. Hands down recommend 2 nights in Ha Long Bay instead of 1 night because the full day gives you the opportunity to explore private beaches and boat to more remote areas. This was a trip of a lifetime for our small family, 2 school age kids and grandma were able to hike, bike, kayak and partake in all the activities. Would certainly go through this company again with future travels.

We particularly liked the unique experiences and accommodations that were planned for us. Our tastes and needs were expertly taken into account in the planning of our trip. The only recommendation that we would like to express is that the small guided tours should end at the same hotel where we stayed. It was inconvenient to have find transportation at the end of a long tour back to our hotel.

I have seldom used an agency to book a trip, but this time because there were MANY transfers from one place to another and I had so many questions about the best way to do the trip I decided to ask for professional help. It was very useful and helped me get the most of my time in Brazil. All the transfers were on time, and the hotels were really great
