You have indicated that the product has not yet developed a rust colour, and that is correct. The steel is always delivered in its raw, untreated condition, as also described on our website. The rusting process typically begins after several weeks to a few months. We also state on our website that this process can be accelerated if desired. Therefore, if your concern is solely the current appearance, we have in fact supplied the correct product. Please find below the relevant product information from our website: Materials This planter is made of high-quality Corten steel, which develops a natural rust layer over time. The oxidation process will start within a few weeks to months, gradually forming a visible warm orange-brown colour. It can take 1 to 2 years for the full rusting process to complete. The process can be accelerated using MySteel rust accelerator. This layer protects the steel against weather conditions and gives the planter a unique, atmospheric and robust appearance.
