Good service and pleased with how efficient ordering and delivery was. Sadly, due to Brexit, once it hits the UK shores you get VAT added, import duty (which seems to be more like 3.5% rather than the 2.5% advertised on GOV.UK) and ParcelForce's 'handling fee' of £12. None of this is Bike-Discount's fault. Yet, I think they could do more on their website as 'Tax-free, excluding 14.99 € freight charges' is in really small print. The tech is there to make this clearer. And it's not a 'national sales tax' but VAT which is more understandable for GB customers. That said, still a good price vs GB stockists, in stock (not to be underestimated!) and easy to order, good updates and the delivery time as expected. Thank you.

There was a delay delivering the bike, which is OK. The bike arrived with the packaging very severely damaged and as such the bike was also damaged. They offered me 200 euro's compensation which is OK, but it was the rude way in which their staff spoke to me on email that wasn't OK. As if i had done something wrong or as if they found me an annoyance, as if they were bargaining and negotiating and playing games with me, when i was the customer and they should have been as polite and helpful as they could be. Their attitudes stank! Appalling customer service.

While I've placed several orders with bike discount in the past and received great service (items in stock, fair shipping, brand new items), my recent experience with returning products to them has stained that view. Their returns team did not collect my order, despite sending them several follow-up e-mails, they neglected collection for over a month and the return package was deemed abandoned by DHL and sent back to me AT MY EXPENSE (I live in Canada, it won't be cheap). It will be 3 months now since I sent them the return package. I've spoken to 3 different employees from BD, have been corresponding with one from the complaints department for over a month now, and to date he has played dumb, not offering any solutions to this issue, and rejected my requests to escalate the issue. This experience cannot coexist with a customer-oriented company. Avoid doing business with this company at all cost, there are 2 or 3 other German competitors with massively better customer service and same competitive prices (do your research)

customer service was terrible. took half a dozen emails just to get an answer regarding what shipping estimates are. Once that was finally answered, I had to ask, but never got a reply as to why the company chooses to save a couple dollars to send overseas with 20 day shipping instead of 2-3 day shipping....at least give the customer an option to pay that extra $2 to shave 2 weeks off delivery time. On top of all that, doesn't seem like my package went in the mail until 2 weeks after the order was placed based on shipment scans. Assuming my order ever gets here, I'll have had a new bike sitting in my apartment for over a month before I was able to make use of it while waiting for this order to arrive.

I have ordrede a CUBE bike plus accessoires. The bike was delivered accordingly to plan. However the other parts (including pedals for the bike) was not send in the same package. After 10 days I asked what happend with it - and had to wait several days for an answear. When I finally got the package - it was damaged and several components were missing. There where a note in the box from the transport company that the box where damaged and components was missing. Value of missing parts was +50€. Again after complaining I waited 8 days for an answear and they offered me a €20 vouncher. I can not recommend anyone to do business with them!

The ordered bicycle was shipped by freight forwarder. The additionally ordered accessories did not fit into the bike box. We therefore sent them in an extra parcel by parcel service. Unfortunately, there was transport damage to this package. This is annoying and we are sorry. In consultation with you, we have refunded the accessories.

After almost 4 weeks, my bike is still not delivered. I've reached out to the customer service as the bike is still with DHL. They are not solving the issue together with DHL and they are not responding to to mail I've send them about it. If DHL lost the bike, I expect the Bike-discount sends a new bike and solve the issue with DHL afterwards. Also paying for a delivery service that does not deliver, is not ok. I'm awaiting Bike-discount to come with a proper solution to make me a happy client.

Experience has been positive but I am disappointed with some of the packaging materials used, often oversized for the contents contained within. For example, I was disheartened to open a shoe box sized delivery to find within a matchbox sized unit box containing the spoke nipples that I had ordered. This kind of practice is wasteful, unnecessary, additionally costly for your customers and harmful & damaging to the environment.

Absolutely awful. Ordered some stuff to the UK. The website says "custom charges might apply"-- custom charges were applied (around 20% + charge for the service). I might be wrong but It seems the seller doesn't care about it at all. I haven't received anything to email. I had to call the custom to get a reference number to pay these charges. Of course, it took a lot of time. Poor reply from the seller -- several days.

We cannot state the exact customs duties in advance. This depends not only on the value of the goods, but also on the type of goods. Of course, this can vary quite a bit. Of course, the convenience is no longer the same after Brexit. As a rule, you will be informed of the charges by customs or the relevant national post office and not the other way round. We are sorry that this went so unhappily.

After buying a Burley bike cargo trailer, it took two additional orders and two returns to be able to use it. In that process, I found the service in answering questions and providing me with the correct information, slow. I had to contact the manufacturer in America to get the correct information that enabled me to order the correct item. Instead, I would have expected Bike-Discount to exchange the item under service.

I have made a partial return for 2 of my orders, tracking from DHL says they are delivered almost 3 weeks ago. But no return yet, no email, that they received anything. I have written to the support. They still didn't even answer me except for the automatic response that it make take till 5 days (already more than a week passed after I have written this email)

My experience with bike-discount was very negative! The item I ordered arrived broken, which created discomfort for me. In addition, I returned the item by average post paying 8EUR for than which I didn't receve back. So I lost time and money. Before sending items to your clients, you need to make sure that your products are in good order.

You claim tax is payed for norway still i get charged for tax and fee for charging me tax i did not pick this up as i can't waste my life arguing with Posten that for some reason claims your invoice does not have a voec number and it needs it you should sue posten for lost revenue.

We are sorry you had such a hassle with the delivery and double taxation. We do NOT need this said VOEC number. This is for tax reasons that we cannot explain in detail here. Our invoicing is certified. In some cases it happens that the local post office misinterprets this and thus unnecessarily wants to collect the taxes again. For such cases we have 3 contact addresses where help is given quickly and the tax is refunded.

Ordered some Shimano spare parts by the pictures in the online shop. Didn’t get all the parts in the pictures. The description was hard to understand and misleading. Customer support did not answer until I raised a claim via PayPal. “You got what you ordered” was their reply.

Good price terrible service. Wasn't dispatched in anything approaching the timeline indicated at purchase. No communication until chased then poor communication. Failed to cancel the order when requested and ultimately arrived about a month later and too late for intended use.

Send me defective goods, does not pay for return and do they reply to mails and their phone number does not exist when I try to call them. They may be cheap but apparently you get no service at all and your out of luck if things doesn't turn out right. Avoid this shop !

It doesn’t matter how much you shop. When you have to return something you have to pay for the return shipment. If you live in a country next to Germany you probably don’t have to pay return. Bike-discount think that some customers are more important that others

Delivery was fast, but product was defective and returning was made difficult. No helpful info in home page. Had to find out way how and where to send, and cover shipment costs both ways: 10€ to buy, and then 20€ to return.

Ordered a part that I really needed for quick delivery. I paid an extra 10 euro for a express DHL delivery, but took over a week to arrive….and finally came by regular post (post Nord) So a total waste of extra payment.

Sorry, but "extra" payment for express you can not have paid with us. We do not offer "Express" at all !!! The shipment reached you in Sweden within a week (excluding the weekend). Usually DHL package in cooperation with Post Nord but also delivers faster.

The shipment has actually been at the delivery depot since 7/9/22. Too bad you did not contact us. Then we could have helped you too. Our colleagues are now contacting DHL. Important current info: the shipment is waiting for payment of customs duties since 07.09.22. According to tracking, the customer has already been contacted twice by ParcelForce regarding this.

Thanks for the feedback. Saturday 8/27-22. Monday 29.8.22 DPD handed over. Friday 2.9.22 delivered in Netherlands. By the way: Parcel services do not notify parcels.
