Ordering process was simple and delivery as promised. All products were in good condition. Website isn't working well with mobile so I ended up placing the order on my computer, that was a bit annoying. I also would have liked to have a note of some kind on the bulbs that require soaking in water before planting. I had ordered lots of different kinds of bulbs and luckily remembered that one was different to others, but then had to go on the website to check which one it was and why was it different. In the past I've made the mistake of planting bulbs before soaking them and none of them started growing the next spring.

One of peony plant root order was mouldy and had no eyes. The customer support didn't try their best to to satisfy customer.

Bulb are also in good condition and grow. Even the ones I bought in late June. The price was great, I thought I was taking a gamble but all were good.

Poor bulbs

I’m not sure why you now send me requiring my comments over past orders. This years order, I’ve downgraded to one star following the response from the company, which stated if you want good bulbs order earlier, as at the end of the season they “not perfect”, which is an understatement. Sending smaller than advertised size bulbs, already damaged when packaged & not at the 80% discount they quoted me. Not recommended. You keep existing customers by being honest & no sending out rubbish.

Small sections of rhizomes

As I have said before, my only grumble, is that often the sections of rhizomes sent out on things like bearded irises is a bit on the small side and often it takes two years or more for these to get to sufficient size to flower. Not ideal for me as I am a pensioner so want things in flower whilst I am still alive !!

I’ve been ordering for 3 years and most bulbs are of excellent quality However, a few of the peonies sent in the last order were smaller than advertised with only 2-3 eyes instead of the advertised 3-5 eyes , which means they will have less buds and take a longer time to flower.

This was my second purchase. Fast delivery and good plants, with the exception of Phlox Rembrandt (which arrived with damaged shoots, I hope it survives). The remaining plants are reacting well. Thanks!

Poor bulbs

Hi, ordered a lot of lily bulbs in sale, including 30 mixed 16-18 size double lilies, they supplied size 14-16, of which at least 50% had broken shoots, so won’t flower this year, assuming the bulb was big enough to flower anyway. Also many other bulbs had broken shoots. Not a good investment, not recommended

So far I have NOT received my order. It may be the services that DB employs, or it may be DB itself. Either way, the communications are very poor. This was my first ever purchase with DB and any future purchases will depend on how this gets resolved.
