Amazing coffee, shipping cost is really high

Amazing coffee, cool attitude and a good selection of gear. The subscription plans are great but the current shipping option is a deal breaker. I can't justify 16€ shipping (to Greece) for 2*250gr coffee bags. Please find an alternative, I don't want to cancel the subscription 🙏

Dear buddy, the last Test roast was more tasty. I was lucky to get tge more balanced sweet, nutty flavour.It depends on what randomly tested. Surprise is always welcome. The only thing is i dont know are all the 3 packets of test roast same? I will try to find out. Go for gold, have a good one.

Mit Fedex iist der Kaffee viel schneller geliefert. UPS ist wirklich njcht seriős. Sehr gut, dass Sie jetzt auch Fedex als Lieferung vorschlagen, aber ich verstehe nicht warum muss man in diesen Fall ein euro teuer bezahlen? Für die regelmässigen Kunden ist es nicht wirklich fair, meiner Meinung nach!

fair shipping price and quick delivery. Was quite happy with the online shop service. Still prefer going to their local cafes but this is an option when beans once is looking for not available in RL shops.

The coffee is fantastic the website experience not so much

The coffee is fantastic! I wish you guys improved login visibility on your website. It’s impossible to tell if I am logged in or not. The website also logs you out without you knowing - the last time I logged in, spent over 200 euros on coffee, but the bonus points did not go to my loyalty account, because I was logged out somewhere in between logging in and selecting coffee.

Es ist sehr schade, eine kritische Bewertung geben zu müssen, aber obwohl die Kaffeequalität grundsätzlich gut ist, (Tolle Sorten) ist bei der Bestellung einiges schief gelaufen. Zum einen muss die Qualitätskontrolle wirklich verbessert werden. Der Daterra Gesha ist viel viel dunkler geröstet als der Christmas Gesha. Falls das Absicht war: ok. Aber trotzdem kann es bei solchen Preisen (27-35 Euro pro 200 g) nicht sein, dass die Bohnen so unregelmäßig geröstet sind und sich einige komplett schwarz (!) geröstete Bohnen darunter befinden. In beiden Beuteln. Ich habe noch bei keiner specialty coffee Rösterei bisher erlebt, dass solche und soviel defekte Bohnen nicht aussortiert wurden. Ich verstehe zwar auch, dass es vor Weihnachten etwas länger dauern kann. Aber ich habe meine Bestellung am 6. getätigt und sie wurde erst am 18. versendet und kam am 20. an. Das größte Problem dabei: die Kaffes im Paket hatten die roastdates: 4. Dez und 25. nov. D.h. Einer der Beutel kam bei mir fast 4 Wochen off-roast an. Das geht bei einer Rösterei mit diesem Anspruch überhaupt nicht, sorry. Einige Leute haben die Vorliebe, ihren Kaffee 1-2 Wochen nach Röstung zu trinken. Man hätte ja, wenn man das Paket erst am 18. losschickt, zumindest frisch gerösteten Kaffee einpacken können. Ich hätte aufgrund der Auswahl und der Nähe (viele andere interessante Röstereien befinden sich in Skandinavien) gerne noch einmal bestellt, aber unter den Umständen ist das leider unwahrscheinlich.

You sent me a different coffee from the one I originally bought. You thought that it is totally ok to just send me another coffee. And by coincidence the coffee you sent me has the worst rating in your store. When I notified service I was told that they can setup a return, putting me to do more work and block my money until you get your coffee back and the bank processes the refund. And that only solves your blunder. It does not solve my issue that now I don't have the coffee I wanted, and I have made a purchase for just one small bag of coffee and paid full transport costs instead of purchasing 3 bags to make the transport hurt less. Your service didn't even care to address that. On top the service did not send the return label as they said and did not give any information on next steps. Just said that they send me the label. I had to ask today how exactly will the label be sent since I got nothing. A few minutes ago I finally was sent the label via email. And what will I send back to you? Only 1 bag of the 2 that you wrongly sent me. Why is that? because your service person told me that your specialists chose the coffee to be similar to what I wanted originally. So I gave it a try and it is the worst The Barn coffee I had so far. It is not something I would order or drink. So me trusting your advice failed as well. I will now throw away a bag of coffee because I already opened it and I will send back only 1 bag. Can you see my frustration here? Why did you take it upon yourself to decide what I want to drink? Niche coffee roast like your business should know better in terms of taste and how you can't dictate someone elses tastes. I buy The Barn coffee from Czechia, Slovakia, Poland and from time to time from your site directly. This is unprofessional. The whole experience. Contact me and resolve this.

Nice offer of coffee. I wish that shipment was not so expensive, it somehow gets more and more expensive with the increasing amount of coffee you orderd (I get the logic behind that, but many competitors offer free shipping beyond a minimum cart amount). Doesn't seem like a 5 star review, I know, but really the coffee is just great as any other product there, so I'm just pointing out to the really one thing I didn't like (together with the website, which could work better)

They do not refund or exclude German VAT for orders outside of the EU. No answer to my email request as yet after a week. Coffee is good but not worth an extra 20% on top when stung for double charges.

Great Amarosa coffee beans, roasted with great flavour. Although expensive to ship to uk (not the fault of the barn) it’s worth it for me to drink good coffee with less caffeine with minimal processing. Delivery is typically fast. If you are supplying your new London coffee shop, would you consider shipping Amarosa beans from there, reducing end shipping costs to customers? Do you have enough UK purchases for this to justify?
