I love that Superbalist offers next day delivery (in main city hubs), this was an absolute saving grace for me as I had a last minute event dress disaster that with the next day delivery was completely solved. The returns process is also fantastic and I have never had an issue. The variety and range is great for so many occasions and preferences. Amazing clothing as well as home goods. I love that some of the brands include the size of the model which really helps in deciding which size to take as well as the size finder. My only suggestion is that as a user I have no idea how to leave a review of items though, and I’m sure I’m not alone as many items don’t have reviews.

Delivery was late. Seems like it was only attended to once I contacted you guys to complain. Then I was told that one of my items was not available even though the app showed that it was. You guys sent me a 20% discount which was not much less than the discount I would have received on the dress and now the dress in my size is sold out. Very bad service. This has happened before and I've overlooked it but this problem doesn't seem to be addressed. I've also noticed other customers complaining about the same thing. So not impressed

I purchase brown Nike airforce for R2400 and after a single wear the left one is looking like it already has cracks and the colour is now somehow different to the right one and now I am no longer feeling confident to wear them as people would think it’s not authentic. The sad part is I had already disposed the box the shoes came in, else I would have returned them. Please refer to the attached photos you will notice that the colour is no longer the same.

Absolutely shocking experience... I've been a customer for a couple of years now & have never experienced this poor level of service. On the contrary, I never understood the bad reviews I'd read online because the service I received was always excellent prior to this. I ordered a size UK 6 women's sneaker & was sent a UK 5. I then requested an exchange for the correct size. The second item I received was again a UK 5 when I clearly stated in my returns message that I am asking for a size UK6. Thereafter I requested a second exchange as the website reflected that Superbalist still had 3 pairs of the size UK6 in stock. There was no further communication from Superbalist & a refund was processed. I called the client concierge & was told they refunded my money because they did not have any size UK6 in stock. If that was the case, would it have been that difficult to cancel my order the first time & inform me that there had been an error & there was no stock? Further, why send me size UK5 & then another UK5 (making me return 2 pairs of shoes) & just not inform me that there was no stock of the correct size? Why remain silent & send me the incorrect size twice? And then, to just refund my money with no explanation? I'm quite certain that if I did not call the client concierge myself, I would never have been informed of the reason for the refund. I informed the client concierge agent that if they have no stock, why does the website say that they have stock of size UK6? The lady was quite impatient & told me to "listen to understand" when she is telling me that they don't have stock. I understood perfectly & did not appreciate being condescended to when asking for clarity on the poor service I received. She then said she would remove the error from the website, but as I type this, the mobile website claims that Superbalist has 1 size UK6 left in stock. The lady did assist me after I inquired about buying another size, however this overall experience has made me wary of shopping with Superbalist in future.

Superbalist is extremely disappointing.

Superbalist your customer service is absolutely disgusting and you are literally scamming people by getting them excited for and item, gladly taking our hard earned money only for the order to be cancelled. This is now happened twice to me for the same item!!! I placed an order for Adidas Matchcourse golf shoes on the 6th of April 2023 ( Order Number : 14142720 ) paid for the item, only for the item to get cancelled however it still showed that the item was available online !!! I contacted Superbalist via email and telephonically only to be told that the item is out of stock and it is an inventory problem and Superbalist apologizes. I received a voucher and gave Superbalist the benefit of the doubt, I then placed the item on my waitlist. Fast forward to the 29 June 2023 , I received an email that my waitlist item is available only for me to get so excited and order the item ( Order Number: 18749411 )and pay for it and then it gets cancelled again!!! But as soon as my order gets cancelled it then showed that the item is available online? How does this happen??? I contacted Superbalist telephonically to be told once again it is a stock issue. This cannot be a “stock” issue if the order is showing it is available online?? Your managment absolutely sucks as I could not get through to any customer service manager and I gave your customer service manager 2 business days to contact me and I still have not been contacted. Clearly your staff do not know how to do their jobs. Superbalist you are actually giving Adidas a bad name as you are selling their item , taking our money only to be told Oops its not in stock and cancel our order but online it is showing that you have stock immediately after the item gets cancelled ?? False Advertising!! Superbalist you fooled me the first time on the 6th of April 2023 and you have fooled me again and to top it off I used my voucher I received on this order for it to be cancelled!

Depressingly low quality which is disrespectful to consumers, their health, and the environment.

Clothing and household items generally are are of appallingly low quality, terribly made, of poor materials and shoddy workmanship and will not last long- unless you are buying from a separate brand of higher quality that is on the site. They are not only purveyors of fast fashion, but 'fast furniture', where I've literally had a table from them explode (six months into use) because the materials and the way it has been put together is so careless and poor. I am honestly really depressed by the abysmal quality of most of the garments that I have received and seen others around me receive from Superbalist. Is this really the standard you think your consumers should be okay with? It's disrespectful. Their advertising and marketing supports this approach of endless lame consumption, where nothing is expected to last and because it's only for now and the next new thing is already more exciting, and if we're getting philosophical here- which we absolutely should- is directly supporting the trashing of our health (both mental and physical) and our home or environment. I do appreciate that they do try to support local and offer filters like 'conscious' (although often the filter produces results that make that term look disingenuous and expedient- more education and better products seems like an answer to this), and that I have only ever experienced good customer service from them and have been happy with a couple of purchases from their brand. Overall, I will support them because they are South African and do seem like they are making a real effort in some ways, but they have so far to go.

I emailed 21.06.2023 at 10:43, email received - automated acknowledgement 21.06.2023 at 10:44. No further communication regarding complaint of damaged goods received. Email: Good morning, I just received a package and the box was fine (the outer brown box / packaging) all on the surface looked fine until i opened it up. This is a gift. The actual item was rough. It was torn packaging, sellotaped, the items inside (which are glass), came all disheveled, lids off, scratched, lying loose. The box was severely damaged so I cannot be giving this packaging along with the gift which would've been nice since it gives an explanation of the items. It wasn't cheap either and i'm completely disgusted at the lack of quality control Superbalist has shown. I would've rather ordered from The Creamery direct and known that i was getting a quality product / packaged nicely / undamaged. The package actually looked used which is strange because it says non-returnable product. I feel held hostage to this product now because i can't even get a better version of this because of your no return policy. Very disappointed and will not be ordering from you again. As you can see from the above, I was not happy. Will I purchase again, nope. Will I refer anyone, nope. Poor communication in response to the complaint and poor service overall.

Ordered 9 days sooner than requested and nothing arrived!

I ordered my goods of which none said there would be any delays. I ordered them on the 11th of December. The app said all items need to be ordered by the 20th to arrive by the 24th. I’m writing this on the 26th still waiting for the presents I ordered that were supposed to be given yesterday. I was phoning and emailing all of last week. Asking to please escalate the delay and get the order to me by the 24th, when that wasn’t possible, I asked to deliver the 7 items that had been ready within a day or two of the order being made (15 days ago now) and to either cancel the delayed item or deliver it later so as to not ruin my Christmas shopping with them. I get told, it can’t be done. No staff member of Superbalist tried to do anything to even remotely help me. I just get told, you have to wait. I will never order from this company again. The customer service is shocking. Takealot have made plans for me to expedite and help me out in the past but this company clearly doesn’t need the business. I even ordered items on takealot on the 20th and received them on the 24th. Here I am 15 days after placing my Superbalist order waiting for it to come tomorrow. Very disappointing

I then logged a call on Superbalist and I was advised that they will log a return on my behalf. I provided them with all the details of the order and I got a confirmation that a return was lodged. I was advised that I need to return both items and then they will ship all three items but Superbalist did not update this on the system or the person who was assisting me did not communicate this correctly because I am told that I will receive 1 item and a refund for the bag but the hat is still showing “delivered” even though I sent it back as part of the items that were collected!!! You guys are frustrating me at this point. I requested that they cancel the whole transaction and refund me because the service that I’m receiving is crap. I don’t understand why they would collect an item and still insist that I have received it and Waafiqah.B who I was in contact with is now quiet and not answering any of my emails. This is unfair and unacceptable behaviour honestly

Delay upon delay.

The customer support Inshaaf.C was the best part of an otherwise unfortunate exchange. Inshaaf.C was quick to assist and provide solutions. The App didn’t notify me that the exchange wouldn’t be an exchange but rather they would take my order back and not give me a timeline on when things would happen. I had to request a refund (which took longer that the stipulated 2-3 days) then buy a new product. Again Inshaaf.C is the only reason there are stars on the rating. Ways to improve: - Update delivery/returns/exchange statuses correctly and promptly. - Since there needs to be product reviews for exchange, let’s take pictures of the product before exchange to have a quality check first so that the exchange can happen on the day. Later inspection can either qualify or disqualify the product (damaged or otherwise) then charge for it. - Refunds should be immediate, keep the funds in a segregated account until the end of the 30 day return policy so if there is an issue, funds can be returned quicker. - promote Inshaaf.C

I ordered 3 items - first one was refunded with no communication as to why and then in 21 December only received item arrived. Tried over 3 times to phone but was cut off due to high volume of calls. I didn’t want anything to do with the 1 item and logged return and advised why I was returning and no one bothered to ask what happened. I lodged written complaint and there was no response but I was expected to respond on Christmas and Boxing Day when I was spending time with my family. Who even does business like that! Now they want me to prove that I didn’t get the item by having taken a picture on the one item. If I was dishonest I could have removed the one item and taken a picture but I tried on several occasions to communicate my problem. I needed the items as Christmas gifts and I was further inconvenienced by having to go to busy malls to find presents. I resent what has happened because I shopped for my convenience and all that happened was a massive inconvenience to o me. If I could give no stars I would!

Don’t trust “next day delivery”

I needed a special evening outfit and some winter clothes for a conference, as I was flying out to -5 weather on Saturday night. Being summer I couldn’t find the right things in the malls so I went online to Superbalist. I specifically chose items that were in stock and qualified for “next day delivery”. I also paid the premium for next day delivery. The receipt of purchase stated delivery date would be the next day. When I checked the app around lunchtime the next day to see when my order would arrive, the date had moved to 5 days later! No message or update or notification was received. I rang the contact Centre and spoke to 3 different people throughout the day. Each promised to ring me back and never did, so I constantly had to repeat my story every few hours when I rang in for an update. The order arrived when I was already in the US, so I returned the entire order. No apology, and no refund of the premium I spent for “next day delivery”. Definitely last time I shop with Superbalist.

Really bad experience

One this particular occasion the service has been terrible, I placed an order without checking the unusually long delivery period and the package was heading to my office on the date - I wouldn’t be there - called literally 20 minutes after placing the order and was told this can’t be changed - maybe it’s time to look what what more functional online stores are able to do ? Long story short the order was attempted to be delivered after I called the courier team - long story short - firstly u couldn’t supply all the required items which was never relayed, then u cancelled my order, then I got a voucher code which didn’t work and I ended up having to replace the order which could then all of a sudden get delivered in 2 days at a much higher price - absolutely pathetic. Generally as a consumer I hardly return anything to you guys but after this experience- anything I’m not 1000% happy with for any reason will be returned. Online sales should be getting more efficient - not worse 🤷‍♂️

The worst online shopping experience I’ve ever had. I don’t know what’s happened at Superbalist, but this was a first for me. Hearing nothing for a week after ordering and paying for 5 items, I contacted them to find out when I could expect my order. I was told that the one item I had ordered was not available, due to issues on their website IT side….. even though it the same item shows as available on their website today (2+weeks later)!!! I was informed that the rest of my items were being dispatched, so I was expecting the remaining 4 items. Well, I could not believe it when I only got one item and also SOMEONE else’s order. I was speechless!! For an online retailer this is shocking. Fortunately my refunds are being processed, so I am trusting that they will reflect soon. However, I am not confident that the website a true reflection of what is actually available for purchase, therefore I doubt I’ll be shopping with Superbalist again.

I received a 'Return' in my order :-(

I was very disappointed with the Girls Unicorn Leggings (Navy) that i ordered. I had a large order and when the order arrived 2 items were not in the box but individually packed in 2 white envelopes. The Unicorn leggings were stuffed into a torn hard see through plastic bag and it was obviously a 'return' as the ticket was torn and on further checking there were tiny holes in the material near the waist band. I will not be purchasing again from Superbalist as to be quite honest the items in the pictures look a lot more superior than what one actually gets. One thinks they are getting a large discount but the price tags on the items are so inflated i cannot believe that anyone would actually pay that price if buying directly in a shop where one can actually see the quality of the clothing. Prior to receiving the dreadful leggings I was sort of happy with my purchases (for the price) but will not be purchasing again from Superbalist.

Don’t be caught slacking

You guys are slacking. I’ve had good experience in the past but the last two… not so much. I’ve had to follow up to ask about delivery of my goods both times after the estimated date came and went without getting confirmation. Only then I received an ETA and a bite that one item was not available. On top of that delivery folks asked me to go and pick up my items at a police station which I declined to do as that was not part of my arrangement. I do understand that you’ve experienced car / items jacking in certain areas as with the case with My previous purchase which did not arrive because of the alleged car jacking but come on, let your customers no to use the pickup option- I know I would t mind collecting if I’m asked to but don’t expect us to suddenly have to go pick up items at locations that weren’t part of the initial agreement.

5/5 for the H&M shirts at great prices BUT...

5/5 for the H&M shirts at great prices on the site, and delivering to a Takealot pickup point within a week and accurate paperwork. 1/5 for taking money off my card immediately, but then taking 4 full business days before I have ANY idea what's happening, as in could the order actually be fulfilled on low stock items, and WHEN in Heavens name can I fetch. This part had me so anxious, because it's so unbelievably slow compared to Takealot, I'd kind of given up on the order, cause it was my first one at Superbalist. Also WHY NO REVIEWS on items? The reason I spent almost R1k on 2 shirts on my very first order is because I trusted the H&M brand. But generally very uncomfortable with the lack of customer ratings and reviews of items. So I'm very unlikely to buy something that's not a major brand I already have personal experience with.

Messed up order

I placed an order for a Nike tracksuit that was on sale and to my surprise only the top was delivered, I made contact with Superbalist and was advised that an exchange will be processed, and only if they don't have stock they will make contact with me and I can get a refund. The tracksuit top was collected and they did a new order for me... I was impressed at this stage that my query was being resolved so quickly and professionally. Then the new order came and they only delivered the pants!!! Called the "client concierge" again and was told that the item has been placed on hold due to stock issues and many logged queries. How can you get this so wrong, it was a simple issue to correct and not even that you could do well? How do you disappoint a customer twice??? I will definitely never order from Superbalist.com again!

9days after return collected still have not been assisted.

I had an order that was delivered on 31 Nov 2023 and it was an empty box, with what I ordered not inside. I then called the customer care immediately after opening the package to advise what I should do as the app does not accommodate my issue. I was advised to log it under return as the exchange option was also not available for my order. On the first the package was collected and till today 9 Nov 2023,i still have not received any communication from Superbalist with regards to the return. I have sent several emails and I am not being assisted, instead I am asked to provide picture of a package that was collected 9 days ago. The app must accommodate every information that needs to be included to investigate the matter. If you want pictures and other things it must be requested when loging the return or exchange.

Order Delivery Time

The order took almost a week to deliver. When I inquired about the status of the order a day before the original scheduled delivery date, I was told that it would unfortunately take a few extra days which was fine at that point. As I needed the items urgently I had to make alternative plans to source these. Then suddenly the next day I get a message saying my order is out for delivery and it then proceeded to arrive that afternoon. I had made plans at this point so it wasn’t possible to still pick these up. So while I understand that sometimes things take longer to deliver, it was a bit of an inconvenience being told it would only come 2-3 days later and then it actually does arrive as originally scheduled and then I had to go and spend additional money to get the items for my event.

Your driver's lack of communication about when he planned to arrive was not good as we had no way of ensuring there would be anyone there to receive the package. He first arrived and attempted to deliver without prior notice 3 days before we were expecting the delivery and continued to try and deliver throughout the morning even though we had told him we were not there when he called us from the gate to say he could not get in. The next time he tried to deliver a few days later, he came before 7am, again without prior notice so there was no-one there to accept the delivery. Had he just phoned or notified us by SMS prior to simply arriving at our gate, he could have saved everyone time, concern about the delivery itself and the costs he incurred for himself coming by multiple times.

I recently bought a shoe and my normal size didn’t fit. I tried returning for an exchange but the system kept on giving me an error to “try again later”. For weeks I had this issue, I did reach out for assistance and a lady by the name of Wendy tried and she did all she could to assist me but with no joy at the end. The product was on hold and I had to return for refund a shoe that I like so much. I was very reluctant to return the shoe for refund as I wanted an exchange but I knew o could forfeit my option to return for anything. If you could please let customers know on the system if the product would be made available again when it on hold and also consider extending the return period for such cases. I’m still not happy that I had to return the shoe for refund 😢😢😢😭
