Fantastic products

I own WWD carbon stands for my alto, tenor, soprano saxophones, alto flute, and clarinet. I will probably buy a bass clarinet version soon. They are very convenient and well-made, and I recommend them to everyone, particularly the alto stand. My only suggestion is the soprano sax stand tends to get wedged in the bell of my horn making fast switches more difficult. Perhaps some sort of revision will help that one!

Thanks Patrick. You might want to push the rings on the stand a bit lower. The soprano needs to stand on the 4 legs, the disc(s) only aim the instrument, but should barely tought the bore.

Carbon fibre trombone stand is superb. I bought it as a birthday present for my dad who plays trombone and he is delighted with it. Both that it fits inside his trombone bell for easy transport and that it puts the weight of the trombone through the centre of the stand. Wonderful design, excellently executed.

very well made, beautifully designed. extraordinarily compact. the angled trombone stand takes some getting used to in a concert situation. the euphonium stand is sensationally lightweight. in most situations great, but for very quick changes between euph and trombone the slight wobbliness costs valuable fractions of a second to ensure that it is in properly and won't fall out. it hasn't yet.

Hi Andrew, Thanks for your review. Since you are one of the very first customers to use the euphonium stand, and your practice as a composer/player (as I seem to remember) is quite demanding in the field of quick changes, this is valuable information. What you percieve as woblyness, is intended. The construction and the parts are extremely light, the woblyness is in fact calculated suspension. Even when you place the instrument a bit unstable out of center on the stand, the flexibility moves the combination to stability in a gentle manner. A stiff metal stand would not be so forgiving. But maybe you have another vision on the "problem" . When you mail me a video explaining what happens when, I could begin to think about a solution. It's exactly this kind of feed back that improves my products, since I'm just a clarinet player myself.

Light weight and easy to store.

Being able to store the stand in the case with the instrument is a game changer for those of us who play multiple instruments. Set up and take down for these stands may take a bit longer than other bulkier stands, so you have to decide which thing you want to sacrifice. Durability has been good and my bass clarinet, sax and bassoon have never been knocked over while resting on these. Also, the music stand has not fallen or blown over, but I have had to keep my foot on it outside.

Thanks Eric. Indeed lightweight is sometimes too light weight, when playing outside.

Really great contact and customer service. Very quick response to emails. Maybe consider another mailing service since FedEx is so unorganised and unreliable (parcel was marked as delivered but wasn’t - had to call to find out what was happening, then had to call again - delivery reprogrammed for a day later - and then arrived 30 mins later at home !!)

Hi Adam, thanks for this review. I changed to Fedex for the US, after losing several $1000 worth of parcels in the US with PostNL and specifically their US partner USPS. Your "case" is literally the first problem I encounter with Fedex. But, great to hear it was delivered. One problem less!

Love almost everything about Woodwind Design products! They are amazingly lightweight, but also strong and reliable. I own many of these stands, and I am pleased with every single one. Love that I can pack these with me in the cases with the instruments-so incredibly helpful!

Thanks you very, very much Charles. How should I remove the "almost" from your first sentence?

Beautiful design and solidly made

Until it was stolen from the concert hall, I had been using the tenor trombone stand for a couple of years. It is a beautiful design, which is extremely well made, light, and very practical. Very highly recommended for any player frequently on the move.

Trombone and Euphonium stands

Light enough to carry anywhere but the trombone stands fit perfectly in the bell, the euphonium stand packs down small enough to fit in the gig bag with the instrument. Once set up they're very stable and keep the instrument safe.

I'm a bass clarinet player working in music theatre. I often tour. Without the bass tripod I wouldn't know how to do it so efficiently. Great idea and manufacture, very kind client service as well!

Saxophone stands are unbeatable for light weight stability.

For light weight stability, the saxophone stands are excellent. I also love that they can be travel in the case with the instrument.
