I would like to take this opportunity to thank Kelly for the Thailand, Cambodia, and Malaysia tour she developed for us for the period of 17 March to 17 April 2023. Now that I have returned home and had time to reflect on our experiences I can safely say you exceed my expectations in so many ways.
During the planning stage you collected the appropriate information, developed a plan, then responded to my feed back in a timely manner. Your degree of planning showed an excellent understanding of the local environment and its challenges. The end result was an efficient tour that provided a good balance of cultural immersive, fun and, time to recover just when needed. In addition you provided updates whenever changes like flight times occurred and local points of contact given should a concern arise. Your updates demonstrated you were looking ahead of our tour progress making certain there were no problems.
The local tour guides you selected were consistently excellent. They were very engaging, knowable, and energetic. They would discuss what was planned, and how it was to be done, and if there were any questions or changes we wished to make. Time after time when we went to a venue they knew the best way to get there, already had the tickets or forms to get right in and then provided an excellent experience. At the end of the event they had an air conditioned vehicle waiting for us with cool towels and ice water. In this hot climate this was very much appreciated. Not having to stand around waiting added to the overall enjoyment.
I can not say enough about your excellent logistics planning. We never felt rushed, when we got to a hotel we were always expected and they were ready for us. All seven of the flights we took were well planned. The guides would take us to the airport and check us in to be certain there was no problems. When we arrived at our destination there was always someone waiting for us and we were off without any delays. In the one instance where there was a question about having the necessary country visa for a flight. Not only were you quickly available but you produced an alternate plan that actually got us to our next destination a few hours sooner than originally planned.
How and where one travels is a highly personal decision. But through your interview you obtain the necessary information to provide us the appropriate type tour. The overall experience was excellent and something we will remember forever.
Your being recognized as one of the most trustworthy tour operators is well deserved.

First (hopefully not last) good experience with Travel Local…
As an umbrella company Travel Local provides the level of security and confidence that we are dealing with a reputable, responsible local tour company (not unknown and/or unproven or worse fake entity)Organizing the trip with Abril from Tangol was a very nice experience (someone that listens and caters to our interests and physical abilities). The trip execution by hired suppliers (transfers, hotels, entry tickets, domestic flights, excursions) was close to perfection.

Having a local agent saved the day
Having a local agent with personal knowledge of the towns, cities and routs was really helpful in planning our trip. However when things didn’t go quite as planned and my husband got sick our agent was invaluable. He arranged for a local agent to call a taxi to take us to a clinic and to meet us there in case we needed any extra help. Once recovered our trip was adjusted. So what might have been a disaster resulted in only some minor changes to our itinerary.

Since I did not travel with a group, it was important that I see all the spots I had researched. Hannah was great about finding the best accommodations and creating private tours to take me to places where I wanted to go. For example, Cape Agulhas is the most southern point of Africa. Most tours do not stop there. I got to visit this spot and stayed In the amazing Agulhas Ocean Guest House. The owners were charming and the views unparalleled.

What we liked particularly was the location of hotels which were selected for us and the competence of the tour guides and transport drivers which were provided to us. Your "weak spot" was specifying the locations for meeting with the tour guides or tour companies. The specification of meeting points definitely needs improvement. We almost one entire day-tour because of the confusion about where/when the tour would start.

TravelLocal in Portugal
Our experience with TravelLocal was excellent from the very start. Marta was great in recommending activities and accommodations and restaurants. Of course you never know until you actually get there. We must say that every guide we had and every event we attended was exceptional! The hotels were excellent and the restaurants that were recommended, the ones we attended were also exceptional. We will travel this way again.

Madeira is the jewel of Europe!
Joana, the agent who arranged my trip gave me a personal call to ask my preferences, interests, reasons, and budget for visiting Madeira. From there she planned everything to the t, and I felt totally ‘taken care’ of. Throughout my stay, she and her team kept in touch every step of the way, including some last minute changes (weather, tour availability, and my hangover 😵). I cannot recommend them more.

Smart planning choices
Instead of staying in multiple hotels, we used two as home bases and took day trips from each. We enjoyed being able to unpack & relax at both.Combining 1/2 day tours with full day gave us free time in between tours.
Staying in central city locations made it easy to get around.
Our travel agent Joel listened to my concerns & kept in touch on a regular basis.

Travel Local setup a local travel agent in Italy for us that planned things perfectly. I think the only thing I would say is to maybe assist the traveler to understand the process a bit a better initially. It was odd not having confirmation numbers until a few weeks before we left with making all payments well ahead of time.

Using travel local to book our trip took the difficulty out of international travel. The local agent knows the best location to book for your hotels, interesting tours, sets up any needed transfers, flights, etc. using them took the worry and planning off our plate, but still allowed us to craft the vacation of our dreams.

Mariana organised an interesting and well thought out trip from the north to the south of Portugal for us.
The towns/cities visited and the organised day trips gave us a real insight into the culture of everyday Portugal as well as the very interesting history of the country.

The itinerary went to plan with each guide meeting us on time in each destination and ensuring that we had an enjoyable time. Each guide also used their local knowledge to agree start times with us and slight changes to the order of the itinerary in order to avoid traffic congestion and crowds.

fulfilling religious research trip
The service is superb, the itinerary was tailor made to meet my need, non-mainstream tourist attraction spots were suggested and visited. The guide was carefully picked and assigned who was very knowledgeable in response to my specification.
As there will be cultural differences, it will be perfect if a briefing session beforehand is arranged to pre-empt the expectation.

A private tour put Poland in our hearts.
We loved having our personal planner Kasia, the quality of guides and drivers that knew the roads and were great to interact with. The hotel locations were great and the staff were helpful and personable. The history of Poland was incredible.
Personal interaction with say a family, a business owner, a student, to get a gel for life in Poland would be awesome!!

I really liked the casa owners- they made sure we had no problems. All of the guides were excellent - well informed and helpful. We had one tour ( out of many) that was less than satisfactory and the company assured us they would not use them again. Overall wonderful trip!

I really liked the constant communication between our travel guide and us being in a new place it made it incredibly comforting to know that we had somebody to contact if there ever was a problem that being said I wouldn't change a thing our trip was incredible
