Review summary
Customers consistently praise the high quality and detail of the kits and materials, as well as the unique and diverse selection of products not easily found elsewhere. Delivery is often described as fast and reliable, and the secure, protective packaging—sometimes including bonus gifts or small extras—is highly appreciated. Customer service is frequently recognized for its responsiveness and helpfulness, with many customers experiencing smooth problem resolution. However, some customers express dissatisfaction with the shift from printed manuals to digital or video instructions, noting a need for clearer, more accessible guidance. A few customers report recent declines or specific issues in product quality, occasional shipping delays due to customs, and rare instances of slow or absent customer service responses. Concerns are also raised about the sturdiness of packaging boxes.

The models are fantastic quality and the service is great as well as the shipping. I highly recommend the company to anyone and feel good about it. The only thing I think could be improved is having a color instruction manual even if it was offered as an optional with a charge I would gladly have paid a little more for the kit HMS Victory and the santisima Trinidad

Excellent customer service and follow-up
I just received the HMS Victory Anatomy kit and although it will be awhile before I get started building it I am very impressed with the quality of the materials, and documentation. The shipment was delayed in US Customs and Georgia X., an Artesania Latina customer service representative, sprang into action and was instrumental in getting the package released and on it's way. Once I get started on building the model I expect I will be adding additional positive reviews based on what I have seen and experienced so far. Thank you Georgia.

Not really "hassle-free delivery" / Flimsy packaging.
Not really "hassle-free delivery" to the USA (FedEx Customs issue) but customer service is responsive and saved the delivery which was about to be returned.. Also considering that the package is crossing the Atlantic and being handled by many services, I would have liked a more rigid/strong box. The box I received was already showing some parts that were about to split. Everything ended up being fine which was a relief. If I order again I will have to speak with customer service for a better packaging. (I wouldn't mind paying extra for that).

New Tuna Boat kit
Received my Tuna Boat kit. It was packed with care and arrived in perfect condition. The parts inside were also each well packed and after inventory of the parts, the inventory was 100 percent correct. Also received the gift of the metal centering ruler, very thoughtful and appreciated! Looking forward to building such a quality kit. Will forward pictures after building.

VERY Pleased!!!
I ordered the American Schooner Virginia on Sunday, the 28th of June. The order went to Fedex the next day. Fedex had it to the airport the day after that and then it spent a week in customs ( hardly the sellers fault). As soon as it cleared customs the model was back in transit and I received it within three days.
The model was double boxed and in excellent conditon.
I've just begun building. The quality of the kit seems to be extremely good, the laser cut parts are dead on accurate with no burns or scorches. The small parts are in a compartmented plastic box and the pre-cut sails are hemmed and sewn and ready to go.
I am impressed with this kit and the company's service. I will buy again.

new to ship modelling
I have just started to try my hand at ship modelling. I am not used to using wood for modelling. the fishing boats I have purchased are pretty easy to build and adapt and YouTube is my friend. I find them a great starting point and a joy to build.
pros. great service. great products. good delivery times.
cons. import duty. but you are made well aware that import duty will be charged to the uk.
thank you. m evans

I am currently building the HMS Surprise. It is impressive in size and scope. However, I do have some problems with it. I am using the booklet of instructions AND the youtube series. Unfortunately, the two are not always in agreement. For instance, the measurements between cannon ports are 45mm in the booklet, and 42mm on youtube (from an entirely different measuring site). Also, the numbering and location of the supports on what I am calling the fantail are different on the booklet and on the wood “real thing”. ? Explanation

Documentation for the Bluenose II could be better. Some of the lengths of wood do not match instructions. Its also not clear how to glue add the last layer of hull planking. Your instructions suggest shoemakers glue (rubber cement). That seem rather risky as if the plank begins a little missaligned there is no way to fix ut? I used white glue.

Quality of ship models is very good and easy to modify into the actual appearance of the ship. May I suggest that a short history and reference where we can find original photos, books,... about the historic ships may save some time. I know that everything can be found on the internet and in old bookstore but references, original photos and original details can be useful. I join a picture of how I modified the Cutty Sark after I have visited the ship in London. Best regards

great service
ordered products for my ship build (HMS Victory anatomy ) it was in my basket for 3 to 4 weeks before I could actually complete the order but after all that time it was still there when I was ready I placed the order and it came in a verry surprisingly short time (I am in the UK ) I also received a gift Which I appreciated verry much all the products were of good quality. I have also watched the build videos which I found most helpful

I liked the discount on some of the higher priced models. The contact was good, although I did receive some emails in Spanish rather than English, although it was not that many.
When deciding on which the next model might be, the daily proces seem to change, like most people, everyone wants a bargain, so changing prices actually prolongs the choosing of my next model.
Overall, the goods are very well packed for overseas travel, and the tracking is very good. Thank you

Santisima Trinidad is the pinnacle of ship design.
Santisima Trinidad ship is an extremely well designed well thought out model ship. Great attention to detail given in all aspects of ship design. High quality materials and over all the best ship I’ve ever built. Couldn’t be more happy with this purchase. Item shipped next day and arrived in perfect condition to Florida! Outstanding service and company! Thank you

I can only comment on the fast delivery of items purchased and a good customer service. Excellent!!
I have been unable to start building the model that I purchased so I cannot comment on that. Very satisfied with all the requirements that I needed.

Zuiderzee Botter
First impression is good, order received well within a week. Products looks fine, not started with building yet. Only minus is that the sails are white instead of brown as shown on the picture of the box. Hopefully I will find a way to make them brown.

La consegna è stata veloce, e in più ho apprezzato il piccolo regalo che ho trovato nella confezione. Per quanto riguarda invece l'articolo come già ho avuto modo di vedere in passato è perfetto sia come abbondanza di particolari che come precisione.

My last shipment was on time and well protected. My only problem with the models lately is that they do come with a CD disc for the instructions, but our current computers do not come with a disc port, therefore I have to use my computer to download the instructions and flip from screen to screen to look ahead to make sure that I am not doing something on page whatever that might mess something up later that I was not aware of. Wish there was an option to purchase a copy of the instructions as an option at the time of ordering in place of the disc. The models and materials are excellent!

Product is incredible, customer support is incredible. I have built 4 ships and I am currently building the Trinidad from Spanish armada 1805 battle of trafalgar. This ship is exceptional
In quality and detail. I have put in 500 hours of work. Instructions on line are great.
I highly recommend purchasing your next ship from Artesania Latina.
