Unfair Returns Decision and Poor Evidence — Disappointing Experience with Superbalist
Superbalist’s returns policy feels arbitrary and unfair to customers. I returned a pair of Chunky Trainers (Order #29835539) after briefly trying them on indoors, on carpet only, to check the fit. They were returned promptly in the original packaging and were never worn outside.
Despite this, Superbalist refused my refund, claiming the soles were “dirty” and the item was not in a saleable condition. The photographs provided as evidence were low-resolution and did not clearly show any damage caused by me. There is no objective proof that the condition they refer to resulted from my use rather than handling, transit, or manufacturing.
Trying on footwear indoors is normal consumer behaviour and should fall within both their stated returns policy and standard consumer protection principles. The refusal to refund in these circumstances feels unreasonable, poorly substantiated, and difficult to challenge. Overall, my experience has been frustrating and disappointing, with limited transparency and an apparent lack of fair review in the returns process.
The matter remains unresolved, and I will continue to pursue formal escalation in the hope of a fair outcome. It is disappointing that it has reached this point, as this is not how customer disputes should be handled. My experience will be shared through this review and, if necessary, more widely across my social platforms. I do not accept poor company practices and believe consumers deserve transparency, fairness, and accountability.
