Great for Bunions and Crossover Toes: A Perfect Fit!
Ahinsa shoes are especially great for someone like me with bunions and a crossover toe. I never would have gotten these foot problems if shoes that actually fit the shape of your foot were available when I was younger. All shoes should have a wider, deeper toe box like Ahinsa shoes! I’m also vegan, and I could never find vegan hiking boots that didn’t hurt my feet. Sustainability is important to me, so I like that you try to use eco-friendly materials. Love the quality and the design
I have worn the sandals twice. Love the quality, the design, the outsole and the fact that they seem easy to clean.
However, I would like the exterior part of the loop for the big toe to be attached 1 cm more to the center of the sole (more to the left or to the right). Also, the ankle strap is a little bit too long for me, a loop to tuck the strap in might be a good idea for the future.

These are my first Ahinsa shoes and I am delighted! I tried them in the rain and my feet stayed dry. Extremely comfortable, my feet don't sweat. There is an option to walk without the soft insoles that come with them, I like that option because it feels completely like walking barefoot. When it gets colder, the soft insoles will bring warmth to the foot.
The foot has enough width and ultimately it feels like you are walking around the city barefoot, but still protected.

first off, the quality of all three pairs of shoes i have bought over the years have been the best. zero complaints there and very content.
also, the few times something has gone wrong, the problems were handled well and in the end i got everything i wanted. mistakes happen, it's how you handle them!

I was a little unsure of sizing because I think this has changed since I bought my first pair of Ahimsa shoes five years ago - still going strong after near constant use. My new Flow navy barefoot sneakers looks to be another good decision! There is plenty of room for my wide feet and my toes can wiggle. I ordered size 40, with feet measuring a touch over 250mm.
Good barefoot, vegan shoes aren't easy to find but Ahinsa are doing this so well - shoes that protect your feet from the elements but don't restrict or dictate how you move.

no better shoe
I have a pair of a Hamsa knee-high boots that I have had for over five years and have walked them through mud and water and over sand and over rocks and now on my daily sidewalk mile each day, and they are in perfect shape and only need to be wiped off occasionally if they get too much mud. They are comfortable on my miss shape and feet and I am forever grateful for the two pairs that I now own, and for the tennis shoes which are also comfortable. And they look as they did when I bought them. I worry that you won't have enough business since they wear well so very, very long.

I liked everything about these shoes. And I particularly appreciate how resilient the upper material is. One thing I hope you will do in the future is to make more production run of the Shuma cities (autumn). I would like to order two/three at a time, but currently that’s impossible, and the wait for a replacement is too long.

They are comfy but the toe box is actually a little too wide for my wide feet. They look a bit odd because of it. They also tend to shift a little crooked when I walk so that the sole is not aligned perfectly with my foot. Perhaps it’s just my foot shape but I haven’t experienced this with any other sandal before. The materials seem to be very high quality and I do like the look of them. This is the only barefoot Birkenstock-style sandal I could find. US buyer beware: under current import laws, UPS will charge you for the duty fees. I had to pay an extra $50 on top of the $10 shipping fee Ahinsa passed along. Because of this, these are by far the most expensive sandals I’ve ever owned (around $235 all-in)!

Our barefoot sandals are designed with a naturally wide toe box to allow the toes to spread freely, but we understand that this may feel or look different than expected, even for customers with wider feet. The slight shifting you describe can sometimes be connected to individual foot shape, sizing, or strap adjustment, and we would be happy to help you check whether a different adjustment or size might work better.

I have been wearing minimalist shoes for 10 years and I tried other brands before discovering Ahinsa. I never looked back since. Their minimalist shoes are : truely minimalist, vegan, made in Europe, confortable, goog looking (IMO) and have outstanding durability and wear resistance. the best for hard work but...
I work in a farm so toughness is a priority as water proof also, i have tested 3 different hiking style shoes the closest to a working boot and thus ones were and still are the best ones! by far... you just have to go up a size!( as they say, i didn't my bad) especially if you plan to use the insole comfort we the winter.
They are a bit asymmetrical in the front of the shoe when they make a small bump for the big toe.
My only downside and that probably will interfere we the water proofing and stuff is the material of choice... i would probably choose hemp and couted with hemp wax and natural rubber for the sole, would it last the same? probably not, maybe, but would cost less on every system including decomposing on earth

I live in - LOVE - these.
I've been wearing AHINSA boots for several years, and they are my absolute favorite. At this point, I don't know what I would do without them. I'm so glad they make them in my size - size 35. I have the JAYA BAREFOOT WOMEN'S ZIP UP BOOTS. They are phenomenally warm and comfortable. I also have the SUNDARA WINTER ANKLE BOOT - again - phenomenally comfortable. I wear the ankle boots every single day during the Fall/Winter. They're also extremely easy to take on and off. These are the best boots EVER.

Wonderful shoes but could be wider in the toes.
I love some things about Ahinsa shoes. I have some berry red comfort sandals with velcro straps that are wonderfully comfortable. The vegan leather is great - doesn't mark and doesn't look worn out. The styles are really cute. The only problem I have had is that their wide shoes are not quite wide enough. I tried the Binda xwide shoes and they squeezed my little toes. I bought some white winter boots with tie laces that wrap around the back - I don't see them on the website any more. Again, they squeeze my toes just enough so that they get cold. So a little wider would be really helpful. Otherwise, they're great.

These are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn! I'm 71, have bunions, and love to hike. With these boots, my feet no longer hurt and stay surprisingly warm even in very cold weather because I can wriggle my toes. Great marketing that delivers plastic dissapointment
My expectations where high based on the language used and promises made in the website. It is a bad marketing strategy when you are not going to take the steps to deliver, it just made the disappointment greater. 1st you said "who knows better our shoes than us? ask us and we will help you!" I spent a considerable amount of time taking pictures of my foot, measuring it in all ways recommended, wrote an email explaining my needs, and the answer I received was not only useless but generic and impersonal with "commercial warmth", they didnt even addressed my biggest concern on having a high volume high instep foot. I replied back with my choices and they said basically "good luck". I took the risk anyway and of course the shoes were a huge disappointment. You make a shoe and market it as a high volumen shoe, and then you include a comfort sole but dont consider the volume of the sole in the total design of the shoe, so the sole transforms the shoe into a low volume shoe with no warning in the very verbose website. Of course the person that was supposed to review my email, pictures, measurements, etc didnt warn me at all! only said "take it out" which then leaves the shoe with absolutely no support, not even an advice to order also a normal sole to try the shoes that way. I sent an email expressing my disappointment and surprise at the poor design and the only answer I received was a very cheerful promise to return my money, except the 20€ I need to pay to return the shoes at my own expense. Overall, a huge costly waste of time and disappointment for plastic shoes.

I love these boots. They are my second pair as I wear them almost every single day, all day.
