We were very pleased with the service TraveLocal provided, putting together a bespoke tailored tour of Jordan at a very reasonable price. They even amended their first proposal as I wasn’t happy with one of the activities proposed and came up with an alternative. Also whilst in Jordan their local contact provided some on the ground assistance with flights (even though we hadn’t booked these with them) when major security issues arose between Israel and Iran causing flight chaos. The tour included all meals at hotels we stayed at which was useful. We used local guides in Jerash and Petra - they were both good English speakers and very knowledgeable about their subject. Our driver in Jordan was Amin. He drove for us on all 7 days of our tour, showing great driving skills to negotiate the Jordan traffic and roads. He spoke good English and his local experience and knowledge was invaluable in making our holiday even more memorable for us. Amin was very friendly and approachable always happy to help whenever we needed it, such as providing (especially useful) Arabic translation services. He even took time to show (and buy!) us local street food on our days out which was really appreciated!

Emanuela Grieco designed our 10 day self-driving tour around Iceland. (April 27, 2024 through May 6, 2024) It was a busy 10 days but lots of fun. And every meal we had was great. Everything Emanuela arranged for us - hotels, dinner suggestions, hiking, whale watching, horse back riding on the beach, etc. were all great and we were expected and welcomed everywhere. Some highlights in no particular order: The walking food tour in Reykjavik was great. Our rental Jeep Renegade arranged by Emanueal came with a Vodafone wireless hotspot. That was super convenient. Whale watching, Zodiak boat tour on a glacial lake with icebergs, and horseback riding on the black sand beach were all great. Walking behind the Seljalandsfoss waterfall was truly unique! Emanuela had dozens and dozens of suggestions on where to eat, cool waterfalls, quirky activities, etc! All in all, thanks for such a well planned trip with so many great hiking and food suggestions! I'm sure there's more stuff that I forgot. But suffice to say, we would highly recommend Emanuela and her company! (And Iceland is freaking spectacular!)

We knew where we wanted to go and had an idea of the sites we wanted to see. Using this service made it easy to fill out a complete itinerary that was full of fun and interesting things to do. The guides were excellent. Tracy met us at the airport in Beijing and took care of every detail. She worked with us to modify our agenda when needed and helped us every step of the process. She was concerned about us all the way through the handoff to the next guide in Xi’An. Justin met us at the Xi’An train station and showed us very interesting sites. We were amazed at the knowledge of our guides and their ability to get us to the best spots with ease. They made our trip fun, educational, and easy. We had no worries and felt like we were being hosted by friends. I would recommend asking for Tracy in Beijing and Justin in Xi’An if you get the opportunity. You won’t be disappointed - in fact you will be surprised every day!

Four of us booked a private 3-week trip with TravelLocal for Egypt and Jordan. Highly recommend TravelLocal; everything was top-notch. Mohamed on the sales side was excellent; promptly answered all our questions during the planning phase. Our tour guides from Memphis Tours were super knowledgeable and so welcoming and fun. Plus our drivers were super competent (driving is especially challenging in Cairo and much of Egypt). And all the folks who handled arrangements at the airports were always on time and zoomed us through airport check-ins. Wonderful trip; kudos to TravelLocal! They thought of everything so we could relax and enjoy their wonderful country(s). Thank you!

I enjoyed my travel in Spain and Portugal via Travel Local as the service was efficient and professional. I enjoyed liaising with the local contacts in Spain and Portugal and planning my itinerary. The experience that was curated for me was exactly what I wanted: art, history, interesting architecture, different landscapes. I am also a cook and a foodie so it was great to be given time to visit markets, do cooking classes and eat in amazing local places. I like that no time was wasted. There were activities everyday but also enough free time to explore on my own. So I would recommend using Travel Local if you want to customise your experience.

Amira arranged for us the best tour guides and Leader. Maha was superior as well as Muhammad. Muhammed could easily be a professor at a university teaching the Egyptian history, We had 2 others but they weren't as remarkable as Maha and Muhammed. One tour guide fell asleep on the bus from Abu Simbel and we missed our restroom break and had to use the rest room at the police check point. uck

TravelLocal planned for us a holiday that was beautifully tailored to our stated needs and preferences, and their local expert was at hand both in the planning and during our stay. The destinations were fabulous, the accommodation was perfect and the transfers all worked like a dream. And we had all the important information in the Travel Key app on our phones accessible at all times.

The trip was well organized, smooth, in line with our expectations. We liked our guide and driver. They were both carrying, attentive and assisted with our questions all the way. No language barrier. We also liked our guides in Rabat and Fess. Food stops could be better, particularly between in a way out from Merzuga. Some were great, some were miss.

The biggest concern was that it was a scam and that we would lose our money and have no trip. It is always very difficult to tell who is real and who is not when dealing with businesses overseas. In the end I went by gut feeling. It all turned out far better that I expected.

We had our travel local planner Roberto book our entire week of drivers, guides, resorts, tours and excursions in Costa Rica. All drivers and guides were on time, courteous, informative and helpful.

Was just what I needed as we planned a short side trip to Vietnam. The in-country resource accessed was excellent. We had a small health hiccup while traveling and the response was so supportive.

The entire trip went smoothly without any issues. We were able to see everything we wanted to see. Having drivers was a big benefit. I can't think of anything that could have been done better.
